It seems like like I have been working on this video forever, but I finally finished it. The song is "Shadows of the Night" by Pat Benatar.
In case you were wondering, yes I had to lip-synch (chromakey and animate) almost all of the mouth movements, as well as Saturn's flowing hair at the very beginning. On a couple of occasions, I would have to output a clip to a series of stills and paint out her mouth - quite tedious. In some cases, I put in teeth where none had been drawn before.
Speaking of Saturn at the beginning, that sequence was built with a separate layer for the star field, background purple glow, hair, shoulders and neck, face, eyes, bangs, and mouth. I also had to mirror her left earring from her right, since the source picture had hair over her left ear.
I put lens flares on a few of the clips, and often chained separate clips to make a contiguous shot (like Hotaru having her mind probed by Saturn).

I have watched several Sailor Moon AMVs and I must say this is amazing! I enjoy Pat Benatar's music and I have for a while, but this song is so perfect for Hotaru that I feel newly acquainted with it. It's one of my favorites by Benatar because of the harmony chords. When I watched this video, I started crying. The clips are synchronized so perfectly with the lyrics! Thank you for posting this!
My favorite part (or the part where I cried the hardest) is the "midnight angel". :)

How did you get the video at such high qualitly, I am making a Hotaru AMV myself and my video no matter what I do I cant get it looking this good.
@JynxBlack13 I downloaded from Sailor Moon Center and converted them from MKV to AVI to use in my software.

@KRende which program did you use to convert the MKV to AVI, everything I find will only let me do a few min of video until I shell out some cash, is there any that will work for free that I can convert the entire files?
Hotaru Rocks From mysyerious person i made up today because i was bored in the corner named bob and i used to be able to relate to hotaru from 3rd to 5th grade because i had 3 friends and eveyone hated me except my 2 friends 1 new in 3rd grade then hated me then liked me again wierd huh
