I love how most of 'Biggie in the Studio' is him rolling dice 😆
Stupid as shit. Why would you want to see what he does best. Nah you rather see him throw dice.
Gimme the Loot came on my playlist and I was just blown away. I checked the release year and saw that Ready to Die came out in 94. Big was ONLY 22 and already had a masterpiece. The "rappers" now wouldn't stand a chance if real hip hop was alive. RIP Big!!!
It’s funny how the slangs they used back then people still use today
B.I.G was that guy straight up and down!!! Man it still hurts till this day to know he’s not here on earth rhyming like nobody else he was a genius and gifted mcee. I remember when I met Biggie at Iverson Mall in Maryland and he autographed my “Ready To Die” cd which was one of The Greatest days of my life!!!!! At that time Craig Mack “Flavor in your ear” was a probably the hottest track hip hop track or maybe the hottest track in the world and being heard out of nearly every car of hip hop and rap fans from all over especially in the DMV. Puff and Craig Mack was in Kemp Mill Records signing autographs at the time and Big and 2 of his homies was walking the mall when I seen them, so I walked outside(fast) my girlfriend at that time did not believe it was him smh lol so I walked away from her and left her standing in the mall but before I ran out to get the cd I went in Kay Jewlers(I’m sure) and asked to borrow a ink pen and they handed me one 🙏🏾🙏🏾 lol. After I got my cd out the car and was walking back into the mall Big was standing outside chillin All By Hisself!!! I approached him and we shook hands and began to talk I asked him to autograph my cd and he did it with no hesitation mannn I didn’t know what to do I was excited no lie. He said he was on his way to North Carolina we he leave the mall. He had on a fresh button down and a western hat with some cowboy boats the Big brother had style and class. I then asked him did his cd go platinum yet he said “nah not yet it’s only been out for a week but we have bets back in New York on it going platinum” I thought to myself this is the Coolest Brother Mann I swear people he gave me a bit of swag I can’t lie or front lol!!! As I drove away banging his cd I felt like the luckiest brother in Maryland for that matter the world just siced up as I could get and couldn’t wait to show and tell everyone that I knew what just took place when I got back around the way!!! You tubers to end this amazing story I just wanna say I loved this brother like his was a family member or something he was just that dude!!! Thank you Biggie for that amazing memory and you’ll never be forgotten and just like you autographed my Ready to Die with these words “Keep Bangin” I’m a leave out the door on that note and say Rest In Peace Big we still talking about you “Keep Bangin”🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😢😢
Damn to the people who just read this I just relived that moment !!
#Marylandisinthebuilding
Cool Hip Hop fact: People think Biggie took this beat from The Dog Pound’s, “New York, New York” when actually Biggie used it first in a 1994 St. Ides commercial. I remember watching Biggie destroy this beat in the commercial. It was dope. RIP Biggie🙏🏽NYC hold it down🗽
The way they filmed that commercial was so dope. I wish he made a video for that Pepsi ad as well haha
"imma start recordin when he get off the phone" lol thankgod for this lyin woman
Wow you hear beepers going off and big playing dice classic moment
Greatest Mc to ever touch the mic “ sold out seats to here biggie smalls speak “
Biggie he is tightening it up in his brain cells
Imagine Biggie asking if you wanna hop on a track with him?!😭
I Would've Said Yeah I Can Do That And Wouldn't Have To Ask Me Twice!!!! That's The Notorious B.I.G!!!
I would have repoed on the mic so lovely probably would went straight into a tone😂🙏🏾
Mistyped my last comment but I was trying to say I would have repped on the mic so lovely and went into a zone hopefully anyway😂🙏🏾
Damn when he said 1995 that $h!# was Genuine 💯
Classic shit. RIP BIG. Alternate version of that St Ides rhyme too

@@ducatarina Wasn't exactly a normal person rapping like he did was he? Divvy.
If you dont want your Artist all in the studio shooting dice, joking, Come to DeathRow
🤣🤣Apparently the working environment at the Row was really fucked. Even Nate Dogg said he was always strapped when he went to the studio
He modernized hip hop with every ingredient before and after him
Diddy over there shooting dice like "Blow on these rocks for me, daddy"
This was when he was working on that St Ides commercial and Snoop and Kurrupt ended up using this same beat to diss NYC with “New York, New York”
St ides commercial , shit fire
Flavor in the ear was my 1st favorite and machine gun funk
That Dogg Pound beat is fire
"NY, NY, Big city of dreams, but everything in NY ain't always what it seems"
Only make moves when your hearts in it words to live by rest in power BIG
Thanks for sharing this

Biggie smalls aka Notorious BIG
I thought they said BIG didn’t write?🤔
How come Biggie is caught with a pen and pad? wasn't he supposed to spit off the dome?
Interesting that big is rhyming on the New York New York beat that The Dogg Pound used . The same song that really set off the East VS West fued . The world never got to hear BIG’s version of New York New York with Junior Mafia on it . I know some DJ or Producer has a copy of that song . It would be dope if they put that out in 2020 . I’d lose it hearing BIG rhyme over that beat . I think that’s one of the dopest beats ever in hip hop hands down !
It’s only like 8 bars of Biggie rapping about St. Idles beer for their commercial.
This where i love the dough came from
so he did write using paper, at least in this video...its also good to see he said he had to tighting it up in the braincell. which is amazing to this day.
Hmm I feel you but you assume he was writing down lyrics. Whatever he was writing it was at the very top of the page and he went in the booth with no pad. In fact after that scene that pad wasn’t even in sight. And countless people have said they been with Biggie in studio sessions without a pad in sight….
I heard he barely never wrote on paper, he'll just go in & spit from his head & then after he's spitting he then writes
Goat🐐
R I P BIGGIE
I remember this
🔥♥️🙏
Love you big
Damn I wanna hear Biggie on NEW YORK NEW YORK. I know it's St Ides

Hearing that beeper go off is pure nostalgia.. which fendi is this hes playing with not the nicki Minaj Fendi right
Bout to take a look again might talking a Big Fendi who Fabulous and Gravy be wit
Don't know why I tortured my by watching this. RIP
I wonder did he do 2 versions of this song. 1 for st idas and a unreleased track 4 this. Maybe dogg pound liked the beat from the st idas commercial amd wanted it 2 use it 4 the thought of NY NY since st idas was just a commercial not a full song but have the right 2 take the beat especially since its deathrow. Deathrow u give up the beat immediately when spoken
I ain’t know Fendi was a OG like that
Is this your own personal footage? Whats the story behind the Daz production?
Dj Pooh. (my Grandmama gave me that chain)
He was a musical director for all the st ids tracks, on the commercial.
GOAT
Classic
Anyone notice the "New York New York" Instrumental playing in the background? Kinda weird being that was a diss track from Tha Dogg pound on New York LOL Anyone can help me on that one?
Big did a verse over that beat in a commercial for st. Ides beer in 1995
What's the name of this song

God decided after this video to take BIG to hell.
I thought Big didn’t write, why does he have a pen and pad?
Once biggie had to meet up with Jay z for a session in da studio......out of know where ....Jay z said ....alright am ready no pen no pad but pass da pad to biggie......then biggie took da beat home with him like 3 months then after he started writing without pen n or pad😊
Bro was shooting vlogs in da 90s 😭 definitely was head of his time
