My brush attachments got a bit greasy / oily . Can I clean it with water and soap ?
How to remove built up hair products on the round volumizer brush?
I have greasy hair and skin, so after a while of using the brush, the oil seems not to be cleansed thoroughly with a mere damp cloth, especially since using a cloth to clean this particular item is challenging and I have never seen a video directly showing how it is done. Oil cannot be efficiently eliminated that way and I notice my clean hair getting more greasy immediately after showering as a result of using a brush that cannot be properly cleaned.
Therefore, I hoped there would be an alternative to this, like a special formula suitable to remove oil off the product without having to soak it in water and soap, which I heard is not advised by Dyson.
I had the same question and I went on to chat with Dyson on their website, and the solution given was to wipe the parts where there was product built up with alcohol wipes (after cleaning them with either a damp cloth or a lightly wet toothbrush). I guess for some attachments, I would need to use a Q-tip dipped in alcohol - not soaked - to get all the areas cleaned. It's a hassle, but better than potentially damaging the attachments by soaking them in soapy water... Good luck, I'm gonna try that today.
It’s not possible to properly clean the attachments with a damp cloth 😤
How do I clean the volumising round brush after I get the hair off
Aoibhinn Cunningham, if you have product on the Round Volumising Brush, you can use a damp cloth to wipe this attachment as well.
Can I submerge the attachments in hot soapy water to clean?
We do not recommend submerging the accessories or attachments in water. You can use a damp cloth or microfiber tool to clean them.
Broken twice in one year! Very disappointed 😡😡😡😡😡
