What a kick in the guts to Nicoh. In 3 yrs he was given 10 mins on field action in a position he's never played only to be dropped by a coach who should be consigned to Nimbin.
The different between nsw and Queensland is that billy slater has been mentor by the best coaches, wayne Bennett, big mel and Craig Bellamy plus got josh hannay who is a good assistant coach and got jt, smith, myles and lockyer

Does anyone know the history of rugby league matches between NSW and Queensland? State of origin was actually created so Queensland could finally win interstate clashes against NSW. Any series NSW win in this format is just a temporary aberration 😂

your original statement is false. Claiming NSW "hates" everything without backing it up with evidence. Rugby League wouldn't survive in Australia without NSW. The game in Oz originated in Sydney. Claiming you love the game more than NSW does is garbage. Qld would be nothing without NSW, and you know it.
QLD play for their mates, their family and their State. NSW play for themselves it's a simple as that.
That's not true of all NSW players but it is true for enough to make a difference.

The State of Origin format was created especially for Queensland. Of course it means more to them. Always will. It's just an anomaly when NSW wins a series.

The way they argue is confected and tiresome and pointless. Conflict doesn't always make for good television. Actual insight into the game is what makes these panel shows work.
Maroons do want it more than the Blues. They play harder every series, Origin was literally invented for Queenslanders in the 80’s because of the disparity in Rugby League.. No one cared about Queensland Rugby League, it was all NSWRL.. Origin gave them something to play for, it’s a Queensland thing.

You guys need to develop your league IQ so that you can see the finer details and the nuances in the background. Listen to Billy Slater after the two games.
QLD's culture and passion beats NSW's. The way that QLD has relevantly new ex players as coaching staff in Thurston, Smith, Slater makes a huge huge difference!
Now look at NSW coaching in John's, Fittler and Alexander. Players are being coached by 80's and 90's ex players.
Also, maybe Fittler and Alexander lean more towards selecting Panthers players as they are both ex Panthers legends.
I'm sure more Queenslanders care about rugby league than people in NSW. If NSW wins a state of origin match it's just an aberration. If they win a series it's a miracle!

Luai played way better than him against the roosters and he didn't have cleary.
That something goes wrong also applies to game officials decisions and also ignorance on a number of game situations of knock on and penalties not applied for in the case of Tino injuring players who should be sin binned and not letting go allowing him to play. thanks. Mareta

I'm sick of Journalists and commentators advocating for heavier sanctions and harsher rules on the players. They're always complaining about bad decisions, why the game isn't what it used to be, over officiating, etc. If something illegal on the field happens, then there has to be something the players can do to keep himself safe from punishment. In the earlier incident, Tino had his "bumpers" up and in the second he clearly didn't- he fixed the problem that he had with his technique. We can't be banning players due to injuries. There isn't always a party to blame in contact sport.
*Danika is the first female presenter that I throughly enjoy.* She seems more so like a country girl whose calm and submissive but steps up when she needs too. Unlike these nsw clowns.

its the coach and selectors from nsw they pick solely on name and relationship. for e.g billy chose walsh and hammer solely because he knew they were the best at what they do. NSW keep on picking players because they are mates with the coach/ selectors. they done it with peirce and they are now doing it with tedesco. how can he still play when he is not even top4 fbs in the comp.

Its not really a mighty record, its a record of how having all the money in the NSW comps attracted the best players in the country from both NSW and QLD. So we had a competition between the best paid players in the country from both QLD and NSW who played in NSW comp against those left playing in QLD. And then when they decide to turn it into State or Origin we started to see how QLD as a state of a much smaller population was able to compete against NSW. The record prior to SoO is meaningless compared to SoO.
