This is a superb victory by Abhijit Tripankar, what a recovery from the jaws of defeat. 2nd game 5th board was the turner and Ghufran missing the follow was the turning point. From there Abhijit Tripankar never looked back and whatever he played was gold, even his misses ended in disadvantageous situations to Ghufran. Definitely Ghufran was ruffled, if not rattled, after the second game loss. In the third game Ghufran missed even simple shots and that was the effect of stress. Brilliant game by Abhijit Tripankar who subsequently lost to a better player in the semis. It was a treat to carrom lovers. A rare match with all the thrills of a masala movie.
