    One small thing, when picking up items, you can hold "f" and they'll all automatically be added to the inventory, rather than having to press it multiple times.

    I mean, they do know that we'd be staring at any of the characters backs for a large majority of the time so of course they had to give a little eye candy for the players.

      It's Chinese gacha games in general that have this. Hoyo games are back/foot/armpit/thigh city in terms of character designs for example. Lots of that in Girls Frontline by MICA and Arknights by Hypergryph as well, but it's most noticeable in Hoyoverse games IMO.

    Honestly after clearing Genshin for 100% everywhere I don't see exploration as a content anymore it's just a task that you need to do. Atleast in WW your movement is way faster and cooler, combat is complex and you can hunt pokemons, so I won't get bored while exploring

      @@Rockypop100. What they're trying to say is that exploration in Genshin isn't as fun as it once was. No more puzzles to solve, no more quest, etc.
      This is also why areas like Enkonomiya and the Chasm are forgotten, and the *only* reason why they're somewhat relevant in-game is because of the world bosses.
      In short: It's like eating your favorite meal over and over again. You like/love it initially, but it gets bland over time.

      But on the bright side, if it does become a competitor, it might make Genshin rethink about its flaws and listen to its community. Without any competition, there's little to no pressure of keeping players in the game so they can be as cheap as possible without any consequences.

      Honestly, Genshin really needs something to prod the devs into putting maximum effort into it, cause it could genuinely be an amazing game if they went all out. That said, it could just encourage them to step up what they're already doing with the game, which would likely be an improvement, but would fail to fix some structural issues it has.

      @@slellu7386 There's only little good in spreading hate so I agree that those players are being unfair. If only they realize that they can actually use WuWa to push Genshin to do better. Spending too much on games is their fault anyway. It's a commitment that they made and there's nothing we can do about it now. I'm more focused on WuWa's possible threat on the competition and how it affects the Genshin team. I really want Cai to do better and stop being so cheap.

      @@SevFGO Honestly I don't mind not getting anymore good gacha games. Maybe genshin getting more stale will force me to quit (hopefully) but I doubt. It took me months before I was able to drop TOF and HSR. Good thing I don't like the gameplay/graphics of WW and ZZZ. Project Mugen though that I might try and be back on the same cycle.

    Love the complex combat system but just like brax said, i hope they add more npcs and things to do in exploration since a large part of the audience likes exploring, not saying that the open world isn't good but it feels kind of empty as of now I hope the devs work out this.       Funny enough one of the complaints they received in CBT 1, was that that there was too much exploration. I think the people who are in CBT want to WuWa to be all about combat and everything else is secondary.

      Yeah, the best thing that could happen is for both games to see themselves as competition, Genshin is good as it is but it's starting to be too "Content" with the current status, someone who can spark things up is highly needed, on the other hand, WW wanting to catch up to Genshin is enough of a motivation to strive for better things.
      To be honest, I want a lot of people to give full on undiluted feedback on this CBT2, I want them to eat at every single detail and mot hold back it's punches, because at the end of the day that's what this CBT2 is for, not to get only praises but to correct any bad decision, since Kuro is taking notes of everything, it's the perfect time to figuratively "Destroy" this CBT2 in reviews so the finished product is as solid as it can be.

    what i also loved about PGR when you get 5 star unit, you can farm their chips to awaken them afterwards with weekly challenge/s really made game far more free to play friendly looks like they doing the same, there's probably way to farm that corro like item in the future

      ​@@redfrog1628In PGR there is a gamemode called Phantom Pain Cage where you receive currency to buy shards of characters you already own (you are thus able to farm a free resonance for every character that you own).

    I don't try to be mean to some people but I somehow found myself laughing when you mentioned that "If your first games were Fortnite and Genshin, the colors would not be as appealing." Because NGL, I feel a lot of people are falling into this "category" nowadays 😂

      This is my only issue with the game so far. I love Genshin's visuals, they're very colorful and full of life. I look at WuWa and it feels like such a sad looking world.

      I don't understand what people's desire is to compare everything with Genshin, even the colors. For God's sake, look at the realistic appearance of Wuthering Waves against the childish and cartoonish appearance of Genshin.
      People want a genshin 2.0 and that will never happen because the devs don't care about the community, so they support projects from other games

      @@Narwhal2025 it's not that people want a Genshin 2.0, like I said, a lot of people nowadays fall into the category of "First gacha game played is Genshin" and that will force them by default to judge WW by Genshin standards, this doesn't mean it's bad, if people liked Genshin then they will like WW if they judge it by those standards too.

    Really excited with the showcase of endgame/lategame content.
    Hoping that WuWa have some endgame content from PGR.
    Babel Tower (fighting bosses with some condition and you can select options on how difficult it is), Warzone (endless enemies but time limited, competition about how many enemies you defeated under the time limit), and Pain Cage (5 stage boss fight, as the stage progresses, the boss have more skillset and become more aggressive, still competitive since there's a score system on how fast you can defeat the boss).

      It won't kill Genshin tbh. That's just a pipedream. It might takeaway some players from it which is good competition wise but to completely kill it? nah. People have been saying that to World of Warcraft for 10 years already and look at it now. Though not as significant as it was back then, it still has a lot of players despite the numerous controversies.

    so essentially the issue with there being less interest in exploration from lack of rewards is still there. This was a complaint that came back in cbt1 too. But im glad there had been lots of improvements, hopefully they'll dial up the puzzles and chests more. Also i believe soft pity was stated to be 65, not explicitly but a lot of ppl claims it to be, CMIIW too tho but does genshin state the soft pity being 75? cuz i really dont think they do

      That's not a problem for me, As someone that came from genshin and still plays it, exploration nowadays feels like a hassle, I'd rather just go through it once and never come back again unless it's for a quest.
      The only time I enjoyed exploration both in genshin and tof and will probably be for wuwa as well is when they first released as the hype was high and the covid buff was in full effect especially in genshin. I explored every nook and cranny of the world reach 100% on mond and liyue, but that was because I literally had NOTHING to do, Lockdown was in full effect and there was infinite free time. Nowadays, I have no free time at all cuz of work, so less exploration is actually a good thing. I want my rewards given upfront like in Star rail.

    crazy that everyone thinks "50/50 and 80 pity, but guarantee on weapon at same pity" is generous. true, it's not bad at all. but weapon is usually what f2p skip. so putting the 50/50 on characters is not that generous.
    PGR has guaranteed character at 60 pity and 30 pity on weapon with 80/20 chance (however, they are permanent!). Not saying WuWa should have the same gacha system, but if they want to be actually generous while still keeping the 50/50, then at least lower the weapon pity...

      It is generous. It's a matter of rewards the game gives. Like for example: genshin and hsr they both almost have the same rate up yet hsr is considered to be more generous. After all this is still gacha. People are meant to spend money and WuWa needs that revenue to survive. Compare that guaranteed weapon banner to Genshin's and tell me that isn't generous, hell even hsr.

      @@isen47 I get where you're coming from but many people, when comparing, mention Kuro games being generous because of the PGR gacha system. There you DON'T have 50/50 on characters - which is the main thing you want to pull in a gacha game. When I get both character + sig, on average I need 80 pulls, 120 if I'm unlucky.
      I understand they want to make money so having a 50/50 now is inevitable nowadays - however 80 pity on weapon banner is really high coming from PGR (btw not f2p there, I top up every patch). Now you would need 160 pulls for both, maybe 140 if lucky, 240 if unlucky. That's DOUBLE the pulls from PGR.
      If you want to be generous, you should consider what is generous to f2p, and not to those who will spend money anyways.

      @@x-y-n-h There's still soft pity though, so you'll rarely need to go as high as 80 for the weapon, unlike PGR. It's a tradeoff.     If i remember, back in CBT 1 alot of player were complaining about the game having too many exploration and they want Kuro to tone it down and focus more on combat, maybe this the reason why the exploration feels empty

      Compared to Genshin, it has less things to explore. And I'm ok with that as long as the boss or mobs are fun to fight and there are places i can afk and relax. Genshin aims for casual players and want to explore the world. Those people enjoy cute monsters, easy puzzle, less combat, so a lot of players quit genshin for that. Also, the ambient in this game is super good, and they feel real. You can hear the wind, water, bugs, so i hope they will have variety of region in the future that would be cool.

      Less is more, look how small Yakuza maps are but it still feels more alive than other vast open world games, even GTA feels more empty imo, idk how theyre gonna expand the enviroment in the future, but im hoping theyll make it more alive and interactable rather than empty and boring.

    What I like about QTE in PGR is that, our DPS can stay on field 100% of the time doing damage ans still receive buff from the other team mate using QTE. I really hope it stay like that in WuWa too.

    For the farming aspect, it's true that it would be a little taxing to fight difficult bosses to farm everytime but at least they mentioned that the more you challenge them, the easier it is to get better rewards which is a great start to the repetition system of a gacha game. Unlike Genshin though, this will mean that you could stop farming Bosses/Domains/Dungeons/ other stuff, faster than in Genshin sisnce you will have higher and higher chances to get what you want, IDK if that will affect the late game aspect of WW or not but it's something to consider I guess.

    *Genshin Impact* was _(and is)_ "big" because of it's sheer quality - and not because everyone was at home during Covid. See the drop in *Palworld* users? Genshin also went through that on it's first month, but player retention over the years was more than enough to keep it more than relevant in the scene. Most good content creators only joined the game on it's 2nd year, after the Inazuma release - by which point most other gachas are already dying (and the most toxic Genshin players and CCs had already quit).
    *Wuthering Waves* really needs to succeed in this space for the benefit of everyone, but it's gonna be hard with such small-headed character models.

    This was a refreshing first impress of a game that has me hyped as a sweaty gamer 😁 It’s interesting to hear that Genshin is just doing something better but idk what that is.
    I’ve enjoyed the feel of the game as a spectator but I hope there more to do when global drops.

    The Echo Ability in the Gearing System is unique for this type of game but they should've done it as to where the Transforming into a boss Ability should instead be Summoning the boss along side the character for a short period of time to aid them in battle
    Edit: I've been seeing a lot of replies about a Combo mechanic in WW. I'll still stick with the proposition mentioned above with a little addition. [New: Summoning the boss for a short period of to perform a combo technique(different for every boss) with the active character.]

      There's kind of a solution to this. If you're in the middle of an echo attack animation and you swap to another character, the echo will finish the attack on their own. It's not the same as them being pets you summon like most other echoes, but it's an option.

      Nah,it's cool but, it would took away the combo mechanic into mindlessly summon, kinda like how easy elden ring with summon (unless you can't bait the enemies in WW).
      The current echo mechanic is in your full control, which is good,you should thinks before using them

    I can’t wait to play Wuthering Waves it looks fun! As a gamer I play a variety of games, Baldurs Gate 3, God of War, Horizon, Genshin, HSR, Zelda games, Helldiver 2, Stardew Valley, ACNH, and the list goes on and on. I think what a lot of people are forgetting is that new fun games come out all the time. Just because something is similar to another game, does not mean the two can’t coexist in the same gaming sphere. I will continue to play Genshin and start Wuthering Waves when it comes out. Games are hobbies and meant to enjoy so be glad there’s more fun ones out there to play. And stop using the phrase “killer of (whatever game)”. Because it’s really unnecessary, competition is always good for games, and often people play more than one game anyway.

    the color tone of the environment changes drastically. CBT1 is like PGR. CBT2 is like an atmospheric Genshin. But I prefer the current one. The impression is not too dark like the atmosphere of the previous environment. I have much more hope for this game than the game also currently in development, Arknights: Endfield.

    It just makes sense to give easier access to weapons and even characters, when the difficulty of the game is higher and there is a higher necessity to have them. If peoples progression is paywalled because they cant beat something with their f2p stuff or having to put in hundreds of hours they just leave.
    Hoyoverse games for example have a similar logic behind them. Difficulty wise Honkai Impact is the hardest in terms of end game, hence why you get a lot of characters for free and easy access to weapons. Star Rail is moderately difficult and mildly generous. And then there is Genshin. Although tbh, as long as you have 2 hands you can clear anything in there, so characters and weapons are at the end of the day just cosmetics

    About empty world, not many know, but before launch Genshin didn't have respawn system for monsters in open world. So when testers killed all mobs on the map the world became empty and you could only fight mobs in domains for resin.
    So hopefully WuWa's amount of enemies is just for beta to not overload the system and on release we will see much richer world.

    Another thing that makes this game pretty interesting for me is the special interaction with enemy/bosses. I saw that you can use a pokemon to perform special counter against crownless, or you can knock the inferno rider off his bike so he will fight with another move set, ...

    i have to say, i 100% rather have a smaller map with more details and stuff to do per area, then having a giant map with things way to spread out, like it was with genshins dessert, this is why i loved breath of the wild, it is a small map, but it doesnt feel like it, because there is so much to do everywhere.

    Watched the CBT 2 for hours and man it's already a huge improvement not just from the CBT 1 but also from the competition.
    The facial expressions are far, far better more expressive. The NPC designs are miles better as well. The camera movements are better during cutscenes and dialogues. They have more assets and textures not just a pasted image on a 3d model. The echo system incentives exploration and doesn't render explored areas stale. The writing and pacing is better, no more stupid reiteration from a third party (talking about paimon). It's a huge sigh of relief to know that the writing and story improved. The weapon gacha is 100% guaranteed as well. Share ssytem in character banners. Also, the dialogue replies actually has different responses! Like holy damn, Genshin, a billion dollar game, still doesn't implement different replies with different outcomes. They literally put 2 options just to fit a single dialogue sentence. How lazy is that specially for Hoyo who earns billions compared to Kuro which often earns less than a million in global. The overwoeld interaction are also fun, hilarious even. Just like in Star Rail. 😂
    These are just to name a few.
    What I see that can be improved are the crowd density. More aggressive enemies overworld. More overworld events from NPCs. Just more interesting occurences on the world. There are elite bosses but I feel like we need more than that. Maybe NPCs walking in a route and not just standing.
    Keep the WW content coming brax! Maybe even from a different channel. Would love to support to you!

    From what I see I agree the ,ap feels a bit barren. Furthermore I dislike how jumping seems to completely halt your momentum. Idk how the 50/50 is, but I would kinda wish for there to not be a pool of "standard characters" but if you lose the 50/50 you just get any random 5 star. Also idk if it's the case in WuWa, but I would like to have a 3rd tier of characters (3*, 4* and 5* basically)

    I love that there is less of a focus on exploration. I think instead of chests/puzzles, secret battles or quests would be much more enjoyable. The treasure hunting novelty just wears off on me after a few plays, starts to feel more like a chore than anything tbh.

    honestly, one thing i deslike about genshin being a veteran player is that the combat is not too complex and you can kill everything in seconds; years like that tends to get very boring. so, i’m happy that WW have a more complex play style. i love to fight mobs so having complex dynamics for me equals more fun.

    Regarding your concern about echo farming, I believe there are tacet fields which are basically domains where you can use stamina to obtain enhancement/leveling materials as well as echos. I dont know if boss echos also drop there or how random the echo drops there though so perhaps someone can further elaborate on it. Still, you can do the grindy way of farming which is going around the map which also doubles as an incentive to explore the map and to do once yo're done with daillies.

    That effort required for farming segment is literally why - as someone that's been playing Genshin impact daily since day 1 - I used about 230 resin last week, and do that frequently. I just find it incredibly hard to farm in Genshin if i'm not in the mood for it now after experiencing how easy it is to do in HSR. This is what i thought would be a problem when I remember ol' Tenten singing WuWa's praises for more intricate combat than Genshin, like you can tell Hoyo intentionally made Genshin's combat a lot simpler and have over time been making artifact domains easier and easier with less and less Time To Beat over the years.
    I think Fontaine domains take around 30-60 seconds for me now, but I still can't push myself to go farm them unless there's a brand new toy for me to build, because the amount of button pressing, running around, etc etc is infinitely higher than the lazyness I can have with HSR. Plus when there's not a new character out or new story, I want to be on these games as little as possible so I can get back to a "Real game" like Monster Hunter etc.
    That said, I'd probably be willing to try this game if it comes out on console (console player personally). And I'm sure this game won't have the same motivation killing issues Tower of Fantasy had pushing way too much content on the EN playerbase way too fast in an effort to catch up to the CN version.

      To be fair, if a game ever gives you that feeling of "I don't enjoy my time here, I just wanna be done quickly with it so I can play other games", then it's not worth your time, not to say it's sh!t.
      I had that feeling with Genshin, I had that feeling with Lost Ark.
      If you don't enjoy what is being done, might aswell go to work in that time frame, that's not the purpose of entertainment nor art mediums...

      Im also a day 1, and its been a long time I stop forcing myself to do anything in the game. Since inazuma indeed, I never bought the BP against so I dont feel forced to do the boring weekly. I farm artefacts like half a year. Most of the time for the new archon and the characters (hype for Clorinde). My resin is capped for the second half and its absolutely fine. But when I farm its kinda fun for me lol. I just dont force myself unless its about primo. Genshin is like my best side game

    Thinking about the echo system, they should increase the exp drop from the domains or reduce the amount of "resin" used on it. In addition make the tune system a little bit different. Make the substats unlockable by leveling up the echos and the tuning itens reroll thebsubstats. That way they can maintain the rabge of possibilities from the substats...

    I really doubt its gonna be as successful as genshin. Two reasons. One, genshin had the perfect storm of conditions when it launched. It was easy to play and easy to pick up and it was launched during COVID. And two, WW seems to have a more complex controls and mechanics like PGR which considering how well thats doing is not a good sign if they wanna reel in the casual players. Add the fact that the bosses/daily grind feel like way too much effort and its not looking good for the long term. Here's to hoping they can optimise this before launch so that they don't end up like ToF.

      I think Kuro made the right decision to go their own way and build their uniqueness. Competing with Mihoyo on production speed and quality is already a nearly impossible mission. Not to mention that Genshin Impact has caused some degree of gaming fatigue toward the open-world genre, at least here in the Chinese community. Even if the game is just as good as Genshin, people may not have the patience to explore their maps because they've explored enough. So I think Kuro is on the right path right now - instead of making another version of Genshin they're really trying to bring something new stuff to the market.

      @@porkncheese1789 No, the guy is not saying that but it won't be as large as Genshin due to a different target audience. Genshin is meant for the Casuals (which is a large chunk of the playerbase) but WuWa is meant for guys like you who like complex and good combat which won't appeal to most people. Its not a bad thing, as it makes the game unique, but just don't expect it to have the same staying power and numbers as Genshin since it clearly has a specific target audience it caters to.

    guys let the devs know in your cbt2 feedback that we love that rover has voiceover at certain points in the story but that we want them to be fully voiced. this means that even in those basic dialogue interactions where you pick a dialogue option we want them to be voiced.

    the whole being able to buy the character in the shop is very common in rhythm games if you dont get the character after a certain amount of pulls, you can just buy the card from the shop. I dont know if this game is going in the same direction, (prob not) but i hope more rpg games adapt that if there isnt one already, ( i dont really play that many gacha rpg games)

    Every new game is inherently going to be exciting because its new and you're trying to learn this new world, characters and story. What im curious/worried about is the endgame. What do you do after youve collected all the monsters, built your characters, got all the character you wanted and up to date with story quests? I hope it does what genshin brought to the table and more because if it doesn't, nothings really changed and it wont be this "genshin killer" that people alway claim it's going to be.

      The right now have an abyss/moc like mode, a rouge like (SU) mode, various special versions of bosses with new move sets at higher difficulties and even though I haven't yet seen it there might be co-op raids. For casuals there's looking for shiny echoes

      Hoping that WuWa have some endgame content from PGR like Babel Tower (fighting bosses with some condition and you can select options on how difficult it is), Warzone (endless enemies but time limited, competition about how many enemies you defeated under the time limit), and Pain Cage (5 stage boss fight, as the stage progresses, the boss have more skillset and become more aggressive, still competitive since there's a score system on how fast you can defeat the boss).

    Bosses are not hard. They might be hard when they are at much higher lvl than characters (like 50 vs 80-120 lvl), especially when it is many high level enemies vs low level character (hard to dodge against the crowd).
    Lvl 50 characters against lvl 45 boss - easy, against lvl 80 "local legend" - doable only if dodging constantly and making huge damage with counterattack.

    I would have to love to see more lore ingrained into the actual world similar to Genshin. Genshin and other games included the environment to tell what happened a long time ago. That is something that I haven't seen so far in Wuther Waves. (I do not have access for the cbt2)

    as silly as it sounds, I'm glad you mentioned the colors and ADHD because BIG SAME. genshin appeals to me because of its fantastic art direction; it's never about the graphics, it's about how vibrant and lived-in the world feels and all the little details about worldbuilding you can seek out on your own. WW looks... decent? Like you said might just be how Kuro likes their games to look, but I do find the washed-out look less appealing. But I do love the new character models and the combat looks very fun and much more engaging than genshin. I hope the story is as good too! Cant wait to play both games side by side tbh

      @@saimyintmyat9373probably the character design. I can see some similarities in it and i find the proportions on the characters a bit weird. Some of their heads look tiny compared to the body.

    someone that played PGR, i was expecting the combat to be same, yes you have to be more active with daily's and bosses, just how they made combat, one shotting things isn't fun to me, genshin I'm at point most small dungeons are joke, only challenge is abyss or events i actually "try"

    like for example, "Dragon Age: Inquisition", or something like "Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty", or maybe "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice"?
    Wuthering Waves also has one believe it or not,
    its "Wuthering Waves: Genshin Could Never".

    it might beat genshin in generosity, features, and combat.
    but i doubt it will be able to beat genshin in character design and marketing.
    even if the game is a stinky pile of hot garbage, they will still play it for the characters alone.
    even players who quit genshin because they don't find it fun anymore will still consume contents and medias of genshin characters.
    if this game really wants to compete with genshin, just having better gameplay experience isn't enough, it needs to make people care about the characters and the world.

      If that's tedious many players wouldn't prob gonna play this game for long... only die-hard battle enthusiasts would play it..coz many ppl usually like casuals....it can still be popular but may not be popular as other top games

      A lots of fans justify the blandness of the designs with 'it's a post apocalyptic' aestetic.
      What are the post apocaliptic designs choices? The characters are all looking like they're going to prom, or are going clubbing. ;P
