Yikes at all the Ticks! And very nice to see the parts of the trail I missed. I was in rough shape on day 3 and made the call to hike the power lines from a few miles past Canada Creek all the way to Clear Lake. I cut about 9 miles or so off an already long hike by doing that!

Yeah, ticks were terrible... I remember watching ya, and I knew going in it would be tough because I know you've done some crazy stuff (like you recent Woodstock adventure!)!

So many different landscapes on this trail! I definitely want to check it out now! Might be a little while until then, but I'll be in touch when I start getting plans in motion! Awesome video! As always, Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching, Glenn! I know you’ve got your hands full, but I think you’d really enjoy this challenge! (Major upside is it’s a loop and takes out some of the logistics difficulties!). Anything I can do to help, you know I’m glad to! Cheers, my friend!

What is this? Screen doors and windows in a shelter! They sure do pamper the mice and backpackers on the HCP. lol.😉
Sure was a beautiful day 3. You’re moving right along. I hiked into a campground where you could pick any spot that didn’t have a reserved tag and then go pay. I thought I’d stump the grouchy old man at the pay booth also. He slid the tag across the counter to me, without looking up, and said put this on your vehicle’s rear view mirror. I told him the same thing you did. Without saying a word, or looking up he snatched it back, but a pice of tape on it and in a gruff tone said “Put it on your tent. You have got a tent. Right?” lol.✌️

Did you pay a fee for the shelter you stayed at?

Do you use premetherin on your clothes to ward off ticks?

@@kelleyforbes8625 Absolutely, yes!! In fact, I did a fresh treatment shortly before I left on this trip. I like to think it slowed them down, but they were relentless!! Thanks for watching!!

@@tridudyonthetrail Scary! Ticks are tenacious little creatures and keep me from enjoying much of the woods in the summer.
Thanks for these High Country Pathway vids. I've been curious about this trail system.
