The Angels of Fort Worth: How the Bass Hall Angels Took Flight

Acclaimed sculptor and artist, Márton Váró got his start with a childhood dream in his native country of Hungary. From original concepts to scale models, watch as he reflects on bringing to life the iconic angels that adorn Bass Hall’s façade.
Located in Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth, the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall is a Texas icon and nationally distinguished performing arts venue. Celebrating 25 years of operation in 2023, Bass Performance Hall is the permanent home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and the Cliburn. Performing Arts Fort Worth, the nonprofit organization that owns and operates Bass Hall, also presents touring productions, including the Broadway at the Bass Series presented by PNC Bank and the BNSF Popular Entertainment Series.
Since 1998, Bass Hall has enhanced the range, quality and accessibility of cultural fare available to the public; promulgated arts education; and contributed to the cultural life of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and North Texas.
