    I have been skating for 1 year. I am 32 and one day I realized i dont wanna die without doing what I always want since I was a kid. Its a bit difficult at this age because of the body and the time (Work - study) but I wont give up! Thanks for your videos It really helps people like me :) cheers from Argentina

      Bro, I literally picked it back up after 15+ years for the same reason plus so that I can enjoy this hobby with my future children.
      I'm also 32 years young on the 22nd of Feb 😂
      All the best from Western ustralia amigo 🦘😎🤙🏼

    Imo the most underrated trick is the kickturn. I love turning a 5-10min run in a skatepark with a lot of transition into kickturning everywhere/at every turn at unusal/drastic angles at high speeds. I like to bash my front truck at the peak/right after the kickturn right into which ever direction I'm going_gives me a sense of control/let's some aggression out. Skating/carving transition with no kickturns is preferred by some/viewed as "the correct way" but can get sketchy: when skating super fast/semi loose trucks/constantly changing direction/angles you can get wheelbite if not kickturning

    I always wanted to learn them! one day I tried, was making progress but it destroyed my shoelaces. I figured I would rather not learn them then buy new laces every day. do you have any tips to not rip your laces?

    • @SarahParkMatott
      @SarahParkMatott  8 місяців тому

      You can cover the laces spot the grip rubs on with a little shoe goo-or actually super glue worked great for me. Or you can try the “forever laces” that aren’t supposed to rip.

    4:01 my assumption would be because it teaches you to scoop through the board as opposed to around like a basic shuv. Besides the half of flip rotation, it's essentially a pop shuv it.

    i tried flipping it back over without the pre setup and i couldnt do it. this is definitely not a beginner trick. the damn board went everywhere except where i wanted it to go.

    This division into the three most important points makes it nice and clear. The structure of your videos is great. I guess I never appreciated Casper enough. Maybe I'll make this part of my bad weather training content. My garage should be big enough for that. Sometimes it's the "beginner" tricks that you can get so much more out of. Thanks for the great advice

    I recently saw a video of Andy Anderson doing what he called a British or English manual I believe. It's basically a reverse Casper/Casper slide. So a manual for which you hook the nose of the board like when doing a Casper.
    Especially the hooking and moving of the board can be beneficial to all kinds of tricks. Just because it's easy, it doesn't have to be a beginner thing. It can be a good addition for all kinds of moves and flips. In the end, try everything and keep doing what you like.
    Great videos by the way. Very underrated channel.

    I guess the category “helpful for beginners to give it a try” should not imply lower status or quality or even difficulty in some cases. Just think of the Ollie: considered as a beginner or basic trick and yet it’s versatile, difficult and beautiful.
    Thanks for your work!
