Ava’s comment about being a good or bad friend really touched me because it takes a lot for people to realise that what they think is good might not be good to others. It’s an amazing level of consciousness. I’m impressed.

Rejection is hard for most adults and you can sense Ami’s possible discomfort too. You may have squirmed as well. Then the gold star moment was when Ava added that essentially the personality who thinks she’s a bad friend would actually be wrong. That takes tremendous insight and self-confidence to hold that core sense of self in the midst of a world full of other people. Well-done family!!
