We definitely need more Ewoks in the Black Series. Logray, Chief Chirpa, Lumat, Warok, and Romba to finish off the vintage Kenner Ewoks. Then I’d like to see them delve into the TV movies and cartoons to give us figures of Princess Kneesa, Weechee, Kaink, and Chukha-Trok, among others.
Chirpa and Logray are absolutely necessary. A glider would be great, too. Maybe a log pile... I think we need a more generic Ewok army builder, too. I also bought the Heros of Endor set (and opened it immediately), so I have all three on my shelf (along with a 3-D printed bunker door, and just this week a set of 3-D printed trees to frame the scene). Now all we're missing is the Haslab AT-ST... I was 18 when RoTJ came out, so needless to say I also loved the Ewoks.
I’m in my early 50’s and I never realised until waaaaay later on that there was backlash on the Ewoks. Personally, I enjoyed the entirety of the OT. My father took my family to see ANH in 77’ when I was 7 and then ESB And ROTJ in 80’ and 83’. At 13 I thought Ewoks were a brilliant addition to the SW universe. People just need to stop complaining and enjoy the galaxy GL gave us.❤️
Hello Mike I'm very happy to see you posting a video but make sure you are taking care of yourself and your family first. Those of us that follow your channel will patiently wait, you have to take care of yourself. I myself am 55 so I was 10 when the original Star Wars movie was released. I've enjoyed all of the original trilogy movies and liked the Ewoks and I still remember the Ewoks fondly in my memories. I remember the joy I felt when I got my first Ewok figure Chief Chirpa. In a department store and there he was. It was funny that even on Chirp's packaging he was still black markered out. I grabbed one and my youngest brother got one as well. In highschool I still wanted Star Wars figures and Ewoks especially. I have all three of these Ewoks, I ordered the Heroes of Endor set and I even ordered a single carded Paploo figure from Jedi second wave as a potential custom figure, not sure. Mine are all still boxed but I'll open them eventually. Gotta clean up our back bedroom and get it organized for figure displaying. Definitely need more Ewok figures like Chief Chirpa, Logray, and others I can't remember at this point. Paying the same price as the regular figures is a bit of a pain, but we paid the same back in the 80's when the originals were released and we didn't complain. Thanks again Mike for the review of the Ewoks so far and remember we care about you so take care of yourself. Whenever you put videos out is good with us who care about you. Take care of yourself and your family my friend, Tom 👍
I really love the Wicket figure. I'm fine with his articulation. I don't think Warwick Davis had much range of movement in the costume and you don't really see Wicket bending his knees in the movie. I do think your points about accessories are spot on. The extras are nice and add some value, but I don't think I'll ever use the clubs unless he'd come with some Imperial helmets to use a drums. Maybe they could've included a bolo with Wicket since he tries to use one in the movie, and Teebo definitely should've included a horn that he can hold. Finally, I don't mind the price. Wicket was the same price as a Scout Trooper in 1983 and I wouldn't expect that to change today. The mold is all new and any repaints Hasbro might do with it would be really niche stuff like Wicket in cartoon colors or maybe a holiday version, and the movie version is really the only one I want. Thanks for the vid, and absolutely take as much time as you need between 'em. Taking care of yourself is way more important than feeding the content machine!
Nathan is right. Those guys. Make those guys Hasbro. I have doubles in event Hasbro doesn’t do any more. Based to mod. We are getting another Ewok this year in the holiday line. It will probably be white with a green or red hood. I thought the Teebo animal headpiece was removable. I think it was the ears holding it on. I haven’t played with Paploo’s hood. Love Ewoks. More please.
Great video Mike, I'm now 50 and old enough to remember all that ramble about Ewojs ruining the SW licence, which I don't think it's true at least to my point of view. Just like you I d love to complete some if the ewoks on my SW black series and vintage collection lines. I find the price horrible for the quantity of plastic material provided even in paint etc... Hasbro has a strange policy about that... and finally fir the mental health situation, take care of yourself and your family and loved ones first that's what matters and that's also a priority I learned after a hard and long 13 months of burnout time, it changed my view on work and priorities. Collecting Star Wars is fun but it comes after person life and matters. We gave the same discussion lately with PapaGord ;) take care.
You never have to apologize and good on you for looking after your mental health, that takes priority over nearly everything. Great review. NEED. MORE. EWOKS.
I still have Paploo from the Heroes of Endor pack and Teebo unopened. Waiting for Wicket to go on sale because I refuse to pay full price for such a small figure. [Edit: great review btw!]
I could absolutely go for more Ewoks in Black Series. Aside from the obvious Logray & Chief Chirpa: Weechee, Leektar & Nippet, Lumat, Asha Fahn, Kneesaa, Nicki, Wunka, Romba...give us some Dulaks, too. To go completely nuts with it, 6" scale Ewok Village HasLab. lol! They could put a glider, catapult, and Imperial Bunker as the tiers. I'm all in with that. We certainly have enough Biker Scouts out on the market - I'm really surprised it's taken Hasbro so long to start getting Ewoks into the line. :) Cheers!
I think Ewoks are very important part of Star Wars, as without them the Rebellion would have been screwed lets face it. They took down two AT ST's on their own so thats gotta say something! I'm 63 so being a SW fan since 1977, and the general feeling of fans my age was they were too comical and a bit silly, but an important part of taking down a new Death Star which would have been catistrophic if it had been completed. Star wars today has become alot more serious, and darker, and new blood to the franchise would find Ewoks just weird, but if you actually look at the crux of the story Ewoks were responsible for shaping the whole thing. I have all three Ewoks, my complaint is they are a bit difficult to army build, so all these extra clubs etc are a bit of a waste of time. The only thing you can really do is take off Teebo's Hat and knfie belt and give him one of Wickets clubs, but who gonna pay $60 bucks which he is now, to do that? Looking forward to making a forest Moon Diorama with the Endor Team. Not too sure what to do with Village Leia though, not sure why on earth they released that lol. Anyways lovely review as always Mike!
Im worried i wont be able to find a Teebo anywhere. I cant buy stuff online, only use irl stores. I love Wicket and Paploo, i have them already. Fingers crossed.
I've always found it interesting how much hate these little guys got at the time of Return of the Jedi. It just showed me that people were not thinking deep enough about what these cute little bastards actually were like off screen. They were about to eat our hero's. Like you said, there are many thing about Ewoks I don't want to know. A Glider with an Ewok would be pretty sweet. I have all of the Ewok releases, and Wicket is my fav.
No way I'm paying full price for half a regular figure. They should at least have packed them with cool random accessories like bonfires, traps, lassos, stormtrooper helmets and stuff like that.
Hasbro is suppler, they sale toys to wholesalers, in order to make the wholesalers buy more, they will always mix more popular characters with the less and mix different types too, to earn more …
One question, do you happen to know what the difference is between this 40th anniversary wicket and the other black series closed packaging? Is it the same mold, paint? or is there any difference?
I think I'll grab Wicket on a sale. I heavily cherry pick Black Series lately, but I also love aliens. So if they released more non-humans, I'd be a pig in shit, as they say.

I would love more Ewoks so I don’t have to customize my own lol. That Tebow is like 40 bucks now.
The video the Ewoks deserve! 🔥

Awesome video. Great to hear from your channel again! Hopefully, you’ll be a guest on OOTB again soon 👍
I'm 53 love Wicket and the Ewoks loved the Battle for Endor and the other Ewok movie that every one forgets about.
Solid job Mike. I gotta get me a Teebo.
Being an old school collector from the 80’s, I’m glad I finally found a Paploo. Never owned the original.

My walmart finally got rid of the shelf warming Kenobi figures only to put way too many of these guys on shelves 🤦

It’s the same figure, same accessories, just the mainline release of it.
how tall are these?
YES WE WANT MORE EWOKS !!!!

I love the ewoks! But yeah, adding ewoks to Star Wars doesn't even come close to the things done in the sequels.. I'm not going to get into it here
