Tp pattern the waist band i am totally confused what i supposed to subtract the width of the waistband before patterning

Darts on jeans is only if the designer wishes to put one in, but it is not needed.

Does your Jean measurements include ease ?

Since I am using a clone pair of jeans, that is only determined by the creator. But most of them do.
