Cosmair Vintage Polo is the best smelling cologne I have ever experienced. I used to buy bottle after bottle starting in 1982 and until it was reformulated. Truth be told, I enjoy Classic Match Polo more than I do the reformulated version. It will never be the same! Great video sir!

I liked santos but I didn’t love it, it definitely was one of those scents I wanted to like more than I actually did, i remember it was this dark sorta tobacco scent with a bit of an old school sweetness to it, I used it in my sopranos video the first one. It’s a good stuff but I never wore it and ended up getting rid of it. The sport edition however I liked a lot more but again it suffered the same fate with me of not being worn but I did feature that one in a few videos before listing it for sale
You've got a GREAT mercari page Kelan. Those sold posts a bit taunting but there are some solid classics there. 😄 Shame I was too slow on that Tsar Cologne bottle, but it's great to see you moving forward with the hobby. From experience, I know how difficult it can be to let go of rare or sentimental items.
Lol dude Tsar cologne was bullshit lol it was tsar in name only with lemon juice and Dasani water in a bottle lol it was okayyy for a hot day nothing more nothing like that OG, I probably gave it more credit than need be since it was a rare tsar flanker lol. And once you break the ice on getting rid of a rare bottle and realize the world doesn’t end it all works out lol
I really like the way you simply make the conclusion - Am I using it for what it’s intended to wear and enjoy. I need to be more brutal to thin my collection down. Simple are you wearing regularly. If not it’s got to go. Make room for loves not likes. I do think you should keep the Tere De Hermes though. 😂

I collect scents more focused on rare and unicorns and of course , that I wear for special occasions. I’ve been selling scents like Guerlain L’Instant (both vintage ) , Pasha Cartier vintage, Versace Black Jeans but instead , I just got myself Santos de Cartier vintage and the OG tin can Rive Gauche ! I’m heading for the vintage Égoïste 😎. I own Francesco Smalto, as well , but rather than selling it I might just wear it for the office .
Youre not wrong. A lot of us pronounce it Ralph Laur-en. There was at least one commercial that ran on tv back in the day that had a slightly French female voice pronouncing it that way... Most likely for the Polo Sport advertising blitz that ran for a bunch of years.

It's always a good idea to pare down the collection and get rid of things that are not useful anymore. I love turning things into money and also knowing that someone else is getting enjoyment out of the item. Fragrances are meant to be sprayed and there are so many good ones out there, so if you don't love it, send it packing.

Once you start you realize the world won’t end if you get rid of something even if it’s rare and then it becomes easy and fun to sell and buy or even trade, trading is great no money involved just people who enjoy the fragrances

I just wanted to know how a bottle of something I bought last year for $20 could be differentiated from some "rare bottle." I thought it must be a rare bottle or something. I guess I'll stop spraying it in my diffuser and list it for $25.
@@Josef_R well that happens for sure people just sell things and have no idea what to charge, I think when being made Smalto was a cheaper scent ( I’ve been told) but I just got on eBay and search and whatever seems to be the common cost + how much I have left in the bottle + do I have the box etc is how I come up with my costs usually a little less as well since I’m trying to sell them
Well it’s the cycle of in and out, it took me a while to get it to work but now it’s pretty consistent which is nice, being into vintages made it a little harder to amass a huge out of control collection in the time i have been doing this so I guess that’s a good thing lol
Did this recently. Had to get rid of bottles that just sat on my shelf. Down to around 25 bottles from 90...much more manageable.
Oh 25 is an amazing number good job, not that 90 is out of control by any means from what I saw but still we know when we won’t ever wear them all

Funny Cartier Santos is also a high end watch (fragrances and watches being my two collections).
They use the same name for entire lines of stuff. You can get a pen, glasses, lighter, etc.
