My heart is broken, I have loved Suzanne since I was a little, girl, and every year since. I looked up to her as she fought cancer for over 2 decades and she was a role model to so many. I am currently fighting cancer, and she still gives me hope and helps me to understand the good days, and the bad days as well. Rest easy beautiful angel, you will be missed forever. xo 🥰💖

The same year as Three's Company she also appeared on Love Boat in the pilot episode. Not well known she got spotted by Johnny Carson who liked her and helped her career by putting her on the Tonight Show. She replaced two women that were being looked at for the role of Chrissy Snow but did not test well. After a contract dispute lead to her firing she did a one woman show on Broadway and Off Broadway. She appeared on two miniseries. One in 1985 and one in 1990. She attempted to do another sitcom called She's The Sheriff but it didn't do too well in syndication. She finally got a good sitcom and was able to reconcile with ABC with the TGIF comedy Step by Step. In 1994 she had a role In the Kathleen Turner and Sam Waterson movie Serial Mom. She rarely did movies. But in 1998 also directed a movie called Totally Minnie. Also was in the TV film Nothings Personal and the film Yesterday's Hero. Also had a small cameo in the Heather Graham and Chris Klein film Say It Isn't So. She also did an autobiographical film in 1991 called Keeping Secrets for ABC. Attempted a daytime talk show but it failed to get renewed. Then went into the health realm, also became an entrepreneur selling things ranging from exercise equipment to cosmetics to women's clothing. The focus became centered on health and well-being and spirituality. She also hosted two seasons of a revamped Candid Camera before she was let go in favor of Dina Eastwood. she has been on Home Shopping Network, QVC, And what is now called ShopNBC... She started there when the name was Evine before switching names. She was active on social media and UA-cam and before passing had a Suzanne Somers Show online. She was married to the same guy she met in 1974 for 46 years. Alan Hamel But she was also married previously to a Bruce Somers from 1965 to1968. She has a son named Bruce Hamel Jr. She married Alan in 1977. They're home in Malibu burn down year ago and she never resettled there instead she had a home in Palm Springs but she sold it in 2021. She bought a slightly smaller house, It was still worth 3 million, where she passed away on Sunday in Palm Springs California at the age of 76 a day short of a 77th birthday.

I loved Suzanne Somers. I was a kid and enjoyed watching " Three's Company", but was so disappointed when she was no longer on the show. I give her credit for sticking up for herself and what was right for Women in the early 80's. She was lambasted for it, but went on and did well for herself. We will miss her. John Ritter was the star who brought his celebrity to the show. That is why Joyce DeWitt did not side with Suzanne Somers in her bid for " equal pay". No offense to Somers, but she was a washed up " actress" who continued to make money giving health advice- when she was sick and didn't end up living a long life. Just like Bob Harper, they are ill but tell others how to have good health and are " fitness gurus".

It is just that when you are stricken with illness, it takes a lot of chutzpah to make a living giving health advice. And possible harm to others who might not listen to their doctors.
As far as the Three's Company Show- neither Ritter or DeWitt would speak to her for decades after she tried to tank it when they refused her money demands. Just about anyone could play her part- and she was easy to replace. It wasn't about gender equality as she pretended. It was about greed. Ethel Blob appearing in a Meryl Streep movie doesn't mean she will get the same financial cut. Anyway, Somers is gone and except for people who pine about anyone who dies- she will be forgotten.
