This is a good point. I've heard people say Arteta us ruthless. Rubbish. If he was ruthless he would have told xaka he was under contract and had to stay. And I think if he had done thst we would have won the league. So this goes down as a catastrophic error by Arteta

This should be the summer that Edu and Arteta get aggressive in the transfer market. The team as it stands is just a couple of shrewd transfers away from going to the next level. Ruis , Fofana and Gyokeres should be the bear minimum after calafiori. Vieira, Nketiah etc should all be sold. Arteta has done a decent job, but himself and Edu, now need to go strong.
22:28 I can see Arteta turning Ruiz into a 6. Partey was an 8 at Madrid his whole life until he met Arteta. Turned him into a lone 6.
Partey had world class athleticism, grit, tackling ability and very good awareness and game reading off the ball. Plus he was playing in the most defensively rugged coaches of the 2010s. Ruiz has never shown any of these attributes in his life. This is a huge false equivalence.
@@awonkemsutu3866 no I never said Ruiz will be as immaculate a 6 as Partey but he has the attributes to be a 6. Let’s not act like there is only 1 way to play 6. Rodri is not athletic or fast at all. Ruiz literally played next to Rodri not ahead of him in this euros. And Arteta can make any center mid have more grit. He massively improved xhaka and Partey so why can’t he improve another center mid who had the quality Ruiz has.
The Octopus was and still is one of the best 6's in the world, never an 8 ffs!!!
@@theach84 yeah but Ruiz don't even have the size/build for it. Rodri at least has always had the body type as he's 6ft 3/4 if I'm not mistaken and had good aerial duels numbers even from Atleti even though he wasn't as dominant then as he's been these last 3 seasons. Ruiz is very Xhaka esque off the ball. He'll be severely punished in the PL. He also struggled at PSG. Stop overrating him. Ruiz played in all phases of midfield. It was kinda fluid. Point is he wasn't the predominant holding CM even if I grant you the point that he played in the pivot
Q. How is Isak better than Gyokeres, is it because Isak plays in the Premier league or because Gyokeres hasn't played in the PL hence it's a risky signing? Because one being a risky signing is different from being a better player, those are 2 different things in my opinion.
It’s bc of the skill set of Isak. Proven to be 2nd striker in the Epl. Also Portuguese league is not a top 5 league. That always has to be added into the equation when u rate a player. Darwin Nunez scored lots in the Portuguese league but less in Epl. French league players tend to do better than expected in Epl.

He is English, a striker ( your price increases if ur a striker)… Eddie also has Prem experience scored a few goals so yes someone will buy him. @@acestojevski to be fair, we've done Odegaard, Rice, Saliba etc. However, we still need to do more particularly a striker and a competition for Saka. The heavy lifting was not only done by Arteta, Emrey contributed his own bit too. So, I quite agree with Harry.
White saliba Timber 2 goal keepers Rice Odegard Trossard Havertz and there is many more. Literally changed our whole starting 11 in 3 years. I feel some people love to complain and not give objective credit.
Two things . Harry says we aren't desperate and dont need to sign a striker.....that we can afford to wait for the right player. And this is why he is a total knob. We should be desperate. We need that striker now. Because if we dont win anything this year do you think the likes of Saliba and Saka will extend their contracts? Arteta has had plenty of time to build the right squad .....and the reason he hasnt is because of money wasted on players like Raya, Viera, Marquinos, Tavares. We have seven players who can play as left back but cant afford a striker. And you just know that the likes of Harry and his chum Tom will be saying at the end of this coming ssason, when we have won nothing again, that its because Arteta needs another window to bring in the very striker that they are telling us we dont need this window
