I had no idea of the overlap between the two aircraft compared. Nice job of this video. -Gee in Sonoma, CA

All things being equal, the A220 is clearly the better aircraft.
    However, things are not equal.
As mentioned in the video, purchase price and savings through comonality can erode (or even negate) any benefits.
However, I wonder how many with A220s out of service awaiting engine repairs wish they had gone for the A319 with LEAP engines?
Once sorted, I suspect that the P&W engine will be far more popular, as on paper, at least, it should be a little better than the LEAP.
If you are an A320 series only operator and you want a few aircraft the size of the A319/A220-300, it makes little sense to introduce another aircraft type.
I know that the A220-300 is placed as the main competition for the A319. However, when you look at the likes of EasyJet, a major A319ceo operator (as well as A320 and.A321), and their order book being for A320neo and A321neos, you have to wonder if it is the A320 which is taking most of the A319neo's potential sales?

True and with growth in air travel most demand is moving up the size charts to an A321 size aircraft. Thanks for watching!
