Guys: I have stage 4 prostate cancer and had come to the point of it being called “very aggressive”. I had every possible treatment, from Lupron and Abiraterone to chemo with docetaxel (a very tough one). Nothing was stopping it.
Recently finished a full course of 6 infusions of Pluvicto. Almost no side effects. A little dry mouth.
Last week, bone and CT and MRI scans. All showed NO ACTIVE CANCER. No new tumors; no activity with old ones. A little rise in PSA. Oncologist said was possibly from microscopic particles undetectable by scans.
I’ve gone from hopeless to a reprieve from death.
Even if it doesn’t last, I can live for a good while longer.
If you are eligible for Pluvicto, please please go for it. There is hope!

Well, I'm happy for you. In my case pluvicto doesn't seem to be working. From the research I've down, about 33% of pluvicto patients don't respond to pluvicto. Another 33% of patients get mixed results. The other 33% of patients get very good results. I was diagnosed with an agressive form of prostate cancer about five years ago. I had my prostate removed but the cancer had escaped the prostate and spread to my bones but no soft tissue. I was put on hormone treatment (lupron and erleada) for several years, but then became hormone resistant. I was then put on taxotere chemo (four 3-week cycles) but my PSA rose with each cycle. I was then taken off of taxotere and put on jevtana. I think I had about eight 3-week cycles and my PSA began to drop. I also had some radiation on my right hip as I was experiencing bone pain. I thought after having the radiation in conjunction with the jevtana chemo my PSA would continue to go down, but for some reason it started to rise again. At this point my oncologist set me up with a nuclear doctor to start administering pluvicto (lutetium - 177) every six weeks. After the first infusion my PSA dropped almost 50%. After the second dose my PSA dropped, but not nearly as much as the first infusion. After the third infusion my PSA started to rise again. I just had my 4th pluvicto infusion about 9 days ago. I will get my blood work in about three more weeks to see if my PSA has dropped or has risen again as a result of my 4th pluvicto infusion. If my PSA has risen again, then I believe that is evidence that pluvicto won't work for me and that there is probably little need to get my last two pluvicto infusions. I had an appointment with my oncologist today, and he want's to set me up with another PET scan to see where things (cancer status) stands. One positive thing I can say about pluvicto -- although it's really academic in my case -- is that I experienced no negative side effects as compared to chemo. I didn't even get dry mouth or change in taste buds, and had absolutely no fatigue, tiredness, etc. Anyway, the jury is still out until I get my blood work done in just less than three weeks. Again, I'm happy you had success with pluvicto.
