Which puts her below the level of the Black Widow assassins that are put into a program as a kid and trained to be deadly assassins. Nobody is calling Natasha or Yelena a Mary Sue. Neither should Kate then. Now is she beats either Echo or Yelena in a one on one fight... that's just not realistic for her character yet. Unless she lucks out with a trick arrow.
Clint is low key because that was his job. He was the recon guy, the spy. His whole role in both SHIELD and the Avengers was to keep a low profile in order to get the upper hand on the enemies.
"We need to see how she got to that point" is such a stupid requirement for Kate. Clint showed up in the first Avengers movie and fought aliens and gods and noone ever complained that they didn't take the time to explain every step of his training process. This is a superhero universe with bullshit scifi tech and magic and talking raccoons, why is it so hard for you to accept that a young healthy adult with over a decade of training did reasonably well fighting other regular humans?
technically she is "listening" to music, just in a different sensory form and through different frequency. Its all vibrations at the end of the day, what you "hear" is a different story.
You also have pre-existing knowledge of who Echo is and what her handicap is. If you had no idea who Echo was and that they were going to be a character, you would just think it was a woman standing in a loud room. They dont say Echo, they dont do sign language, and the guy still speaks to hear and its drowned out by the music.

well it makes a lot sense in the comics cause it fits with david aja's art style that references retro 60's graphic and the poppy coloring. so far the disney+ show has been really superficial with its fraction & aja's influence. sure it has pizza dog, the tracksuit guys, the christmas setting. but it still doesn't hit the same almost indie movie like feeling of the comic. also in that entire run, clint barton was basically in a state of constant depressed, and the art style sort of like gloss over that melancholy, like listening to fun happy jazz when you're sad. the disney+ show is kind of just your typical marvel stuff, so far...

Just yesterday I watched this series and I am very satisfied. But what a surprise for me when they used an immortal and time-forgotten song by the musical genius Alan Wilder and the legendary Depeche Mode - Christmas Island as the theme song for Echo. Totally the best. I'm totally excited :D
I think it would be great if _Jack_ and _Eleanor_ turn out to be completely innocent, and it's only our own expectations that someone must be a bad guy (which is equal to _Kate_ being suspicious because she doesn't like her mom marrying this guy) that makes everything seem suspicious with them.
I think I know what Suraj means about experience and classism when it comes to fighting (Vi vs Kate). Because even with Bruce Wayne, he didn’t really become Batman until he went through some hardship and real-life training with the league of shadows. That kind of took him down a peg enough to fight (like Bane describes also what it’s like to fight for survival vs training).
