This is the part of worship in the Baptist Church when it became very intense, in a powerful way. It is very sad that this part of worship doesn't happen anymore. I also love the way Rev. Evans explain the concept of Even Me. A powerful worship experience at the ship. Rest in Peace to the Godfather of the Kingdom, Rev. Dr. Clay Evans.
THATS MY PASTOR AND I AGREE WITH YOU 1000% I HATE THE WAY REV JENKINS AND REV SHARP CONDUCT SERVICE ITS MORE OF A SHOW THEN THEM DOING WHAT THEY SUPPOSE TO DO AND TRY AND SAVE YOUR SOUL
Dr Clay Evans started plenty of things in the City of Chicago that are still continuing to this day he did the politics for many PREACHER'S That Support him without anyone knowing it POWERFUL MAN OF GOD POP EVANS
This worship is inside the hearts of man just tap into it it’s your heart connecting with Jesus Christ. Now a days churches don’t remember wear the church is coming from it’s different now
I remember those days!!! You ran to church and hated to leave! They'd turn the lights off on us. And we'd dance our way out the door and onto the sidewalk. Oooh-whee. The power of God was beyond explanation. Folk would run to the altar to be saved! And they'd get saved for real! Baptisms were carried out at any time, but definitely on Sundays. We didn't miss a service even if we had to take the bus!!!
I enjoyed this sermon from Rev Clay Evans. My mother used to listen to him on Sunday nights when l was growing up for encouragement, while raiseimg ,8 children in the projects, we Survived Thank you Jesus.
This was real and pure. My heart longs for this kind of worship/church. I guess it’s really over for this kind of worship. I don’t know what did it for you all. But for me it was the genuine praises of the men in the room. I don’t know who they were but real men shout ONLY when the atmosphere is pure and genuine. This has saddened me because i can’t find worship like this anymore. This is what i need.
It's something about a praise break at The Ship..... I could only imagine how intense it was in the earlier years. Thank you for sharing these. I'm sure the best is still to come!
I thought I was insane for watching this multiple times a day many days per week. But this hymn means so much. They didn’t sing much of it , but all I need is one line and a TOUCH from the Lord! Let some drops now fall on me!!!!
This hymn resonates so strongly with me. God’s grace and mercy can reach even me. We all stand in need of blessings and breakthroughs. Our God supplies all we could ever want and desire. Lord, let some drops now fall on me! You can feel this prayer.
SOOOO MISS THE PRAISE BREAKS AND REV EVANS WAS A MEMBER FOR 40 YEARS MY MOTHER WAS PREGNANT WITH ME WHEN SHE JOINED THE SHIP.... BE A MEMBER FOR LIFE!! SAIL ON FELLOWSHIP.
This is simply Xcellent ~ The Holy Ghost movin @ it's best to minister to the people. . . An ole sckool moment in the ship! Thank God for this glorious moment. I Waz touched ~
Partially true it really depends on the church not every Baptist Church is the same that every Pentecostal church is the same that every denomination ask the exact same way so it really just depends depends
I really, truly miss when The Ship was The Ship. I miss The Godfather and I miss Momma LouDella directing this hymn. Church services today, are not spirit-filled like this anymore.
I used to go visit Fellowship back in the 90's, and it was big inside. Clay Evans said that Fellowship could hold 1000 people, and I don't know if that even included the choir because I heard that the choirstand could hold 200 people by itself back then.
You can tell the old Baptist saints in the congregation. They wasn't about all the shouting & noise in the church. Nothing you can do when the spirit is moving.
Actually the old saints in Fellowship shouted as well & many of them had been there for many many years. The perception that Baptist church’s don’t shout is misconception especially when it comes to Fellowship. They’ve been carrying on like that since they were founded.
@@TrevonDawson They are the exception. When I was growing up in the church (Pentecostal), if we were invited to a Baptist church for whatever special service they were having, and we (the holy rollers as they called us) got happy in the spirit. Those ushers would come and try to sit us down. It happened more times then I can count, and many of them would say it didn't take all of that noise to praise God. The Baptist church in this day is certainly different than when I was a young girl.
@@rickeyr.rousejr.3283 speaking in tongues is sensual if not I don’t want to be part of a service like that. I need to here the Holy Ghost talking in tongues maybe you might think different from me as a Apostolic that’s what we believe during high time when the spirit of the Lord is loose through the church. I love to listen to heavenly tongues
@@LANG671 I understand your question perfectly as I, too, am Apostolic. In Pentecostal churches when the spirit moves there is more involvement or response from the people. The praise/worship expression moves much faster with hand claps, dancing, tongue speaking, exhortation, etc. Notice there are few who dance in this clip. Fellowship BC is a traditional Baptist church and speaking in tongues may have been "tolerated" from individuals or visitors who may have that experience. Overall, their historic doctrinal stance, liturgy, and belief, referencing 1 Cor 14, is that speaking in tongues is not freely done without someone to interpret.
@@hyacinthb Fellowship was FAR from a "traditional" Baptist church (of the African-American experience). Many spoke in tongues there and laid hands on individuals for healing (Rev. Evans anointed us regularly with oil).
Nothing will ever be able to take the place of that old skool churchin! "THE LORD IS HERE!!!!!" YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!👏👏👏
Lord thank you for letting Rev. Evans be in my life.❤
I remember visiting fellowship in the 70’s and Dr LouDella lead the choir in this song and the spirit fell so hard Rev Evan’s could hardly preach

I was there for the first time last month and thought the exact same thing. It’s because of how compact the seating use to be
