Nobody can match Kira's passion for the game. Gave a knuckle bump at the end and was respectful, just gets passionate about the game. Absolutely love it.
Kiraflax is actually a great player and I really enjoy watching his technique. Especially his Rob. Honestly it's a bonus to get to see the face cam, but I'd watch him regardless of his reactions to losing haha.
Sad. Kiraflax was trying so so hard, but Mario is just so oppressive. Better projectile, better combos that land more consistently, better edgeguarding. Dark Pit has to really take risks to get kills, unless they're at very high percent. Back air is inconsistent, smash attack kill confirms are inconsistent, and electroshock is very risky. Multiple jumps just wasn't enough to save him from Mario's pressure and speed. I like how Kira used his mobility to stay safe. Jumps, wavedashes, walking and pivoting. And how he used Nair's multiple hitboxes to contest Mario fireballs. Shame Dark Pit's hitboxes are so inconsistent and weird. If Up Smash, nair, bair, etc were improved, the character would feel that much better.
Agreed. I really liked his movement. He was playing to Pit's strengths with the multiple jumps off ledge. I liked Pit when the game first came out and he's still fun but he could use some of that K. Rool and Puff treatment. I feel it wouldn't take much to make him a pretty solid character.
He's great at patience (ironically) and movement. I think he needs to work with his ROB more and pick a better replacement for Pit and hope Pit gets buffed eventually. At least for the competitive scene.

Kira needs to play more aggressive, incorporate more anti air, stop resetting pressure situations by spacing backwards for neutral b, and try some hard reads. He is a solid player, but needs to add some risk to mix up, playing too safe

I respect the choice of Dark Pit. Underdog status. Plus his movement is really cool, almost Melee-esque at some points. But Dark Pit is no match for a good Mario's bread and butter combos.

11 frames of shield drop + 11 frame startup for invincibility would be very reactable and he could just release upsmash during that window. Only safe option in this case really is to just roll away
Hey, Kira is a good Pit but I cant stop thinking that Pit stops him to be better. I respect that he loves the character, but sometimes is good to look for a secundary in order to change. In my opinion he just need some more Kill power.
This was a very, very boring Grand Finals. Not because either of these two players showed poor performance, but because the matchup is uninteresting. Still happy for both players.
