I had a friend who fell for a "Gaming PC" scam. It was one of those Dell Optiplexes with RGB plastered on it. It didn't even have a GT-710! Poor guy just wanted to play Jedi Survivor
@@renew6405 well I didn’t want to get into pc gaming but my friend had his old strix rx 5700 and he gave it to me so I built my pc around it so it’s that 5700 and a ryzen 5 5600x. I played jedi survivor on high/epic and got around 50-90fps depending on the map but mostly high 70s which was amazing coming from steam deck
That’s a crazy price for that part combo. The RX6400 is a PCIe 4.0 part with only 4 lanes and the Ryzen 5 4500 is PCIe 3.0, they’re starting off better handicapping an already weak GPU. Then the mATX board in an ATX case is dumb, all that wasted space in there.
you know I was considering getting this to swap out the parts with parts I already own. it turned out to be even cheaper to just get a case, motherboard and power supply to just make my own pc.
I saw that thumbnail and couldn't click fast enough... People are actually falling for those specs as a gaming pc... I feel sorry for them. Being cheated.
Regardless of it being a R5 4500 or 5500, the B550's going to waste. This system for nearly 700, should've come with a 5600 and 3050. Get rid of the mouse and keyboard, lower the PSU to 650W.
they buy these cause theyre usually priced less than other PCs, and they only show them the good stuff to make it seem better than it is, and people dont do research on what theyre buying.
The rig is terrible & overpriced, I wouldn’t have compared it to your $475 “ Sleeper Gamer “Dell i5 8400 + 3050 6GB The IBuy CPU is 100% faster The AM4 socket and large case provides room for numerous upgrades $100 upgrades the Dell to a i7-8700K and the same performance The Dells only realistic upgrade path considering the case won’t accommodate full sized GPU’s If you want to bash the competition, the Toastys $675 Intel i3 12100F + GTX 1660 Super Budget Gaming PC was a much better example
Hey, I know you’re probably not gonna read this but I’m just gonna say it anyway a little bit before Christmas time I really wanted to build my own PC so I started getting the parts from a friend and would just like to list off my specs and a thank you for helping me with your videos my graphics card is a 4060 my CPU is risen five 5600 my case is the thermal take 270 mid tower. My motherboard is the MSI b550 with a blue SSD And 16 GB of DDR four ram and a 650 W power supply I got Windows 11 installed a couple of days ago and I’ve been playing valorant And Fortnite. This is a really long message but I just wanted to thank you bro.
It does when you don't have a thousand dollars or more for what you want right then. I've been a custom PC builder for 30+ years and I've guided people through slightly more expensive less powerful "whole" builds than just jumpin' in and mortgaging the house right off in favor of futureproofing. I despise people who advise this to begin with. They do not have their best interest in mind when selling for the sale rather than the happiness or the customer or the recursive financial amage they get themselves into for just jumping in sight unseen like that. That and a prebuilt price is very dependent on the deal you can make with OEM's and wholesalers when buying in 100's or 1000's. I've always been 100's or lower and found that to be the case as for pricing.
This is why its so important to know hardware specs before buying anything.. This is a nice pc in the looks dept unfortunately lots of people buy with only that in mind ..
Actually those are almost the specs that i wanted to get for an new budget pc. I already got an rx 6400 from upgrading my old office pc. But the i5 3570 and 12gb of ddr3 are just not enough anymore. With how I could get the parts rn i would be paying about 280 bucks for everything. Would that be a good choice or should i consider smth else?
I'm building my first PC later with the same processor and GPU today, Ryzen 5 4500, 2x8gb 3200 Corsair RAM, 1tb Kioxia M 2, Gigabyte A520 Motherboard and Corsair 450w PSU. CPU,GPU & PSU purchased used the rest of the components new. My total build cost is £270 or $332
Toasty bros I love your videos and have the same brand but different I got ryzen 5 5500 with Radeon RX 6400 I bought mine from Best buy last month as my gaming PC.
That is way TOO EXPENSIVE for those specs! I bought an IBP system with an R7 7700, 4070, 16gb (1 stick), 1TB NVME, 750w PS (same one in the video), HYTE Y40 case for about $330 more than that one.
You can't blame iBuypower on this one, that is just old stock at Walmart, probably from the tail end of the GPU drought around early to mid 2022, and been sitting in a warehouse since.
People keep pairing these lower end gpus with CPUs that don't use pcie gen 4. The rx 6400 is a Fortnite beast paired with an Intel 13100 or 14100 with their gen 4 pcie bus. I built a 14100 / rx 6400 system that could 4k/60 low/far or 1080p 165fps.
Pre-builts having a decent case and RGB fans is considered a "gaming PC" and cheap trash peripherals that get thrown away in a month or never used. I wish less people were dishonest on places like facebook marketplace, to sell online have to adjust price 15-30% more to make the same, seen computers like this or better for $200-300
It was terrible around Christmas. Computers with specs that cost $300-$400 selling for $650-$750. A few were APU saying it could run Fortnite and call or duty at over 100 fps. People were barely getting 40. It fools those who aren't tech savvy and parents just trying to get their kid a gift trusting the descriptions.
Cannot hate this PC as it looks decently built. Price of course should not be above $500 . Note that many people simply do not need high powered GPU, as they use PC for other tasks and only occasionally do some light gaming.
I remember getting a ton of IBUYPOWER prebuilts from Walmart during COVID with i5-11400s and GT1030s on clearance for a decent price. Definitely understood the covid PC comment lol. Decent systems with awful GPUs.
The CPU and GPU is not worth a damn here... If they'd use R5 3600 you would get better performance because Ryzen 3000 series supports Pcie gen 4 if used in motherboard that supports PCie gen 4. The GPU is just video adapter or upgrade for office PC. But hey at least you have dual channel ram and PSU that allows you to go to 5800x3D and like 3070/4070.
Absolutely **HORRIBLE PRICE** on that thing ... you could build same for < $400. Re the mouse ... it actually looks like it's contaminated on the outside with some "virus of death" LOL
If there is one thing I have learned from watching your videos is that the price premium on pre-built are insane. Including the one you guys are selling lol (respectfully)
I had the RX 6400 and it was worlds better that the onboard graphics. Worked fine in Fortnite and Spiderman Remastered. Got $79 for it last year from Newegg when I upgraded to an RX 7600 XT. For 2025 definitely not enough at any budget.
Do you sell a list of parts and best place to get the parts to build a basic system? I want to build my next system. I have done basics in the past(memory, hard drives, cards) but have never built one from scratch. Thx
It's not good for the money.. But it would be real easy to pop in a 5700x3d and 4070 Super for upgrades. Can't do that with a lot of OEM's without changing the psu and needing adapters etc.
Hey toasty bros i bought a prebuilt pc from best buy a like 3 months ago and it was my first pc ever, its been doing good so far on playing my games and stuff but im still a noob when he comes to all this stuff still lol. Is there a way i can get any help or some like advice? i guess you can say lol
What's most insane is that for 650 USD you can buy an actual gaming laptop with like RTX3050 and 7th or even 8th Gen Ryzen 5. Oh yeah, and you get a screen (often 144hz), battery, portabillity, low power consumption and basically all the extra stuff you usually get from a laptop 😂 Cheap gaming pre-builds like this one are completely useless by now, you either go for low budget gaming laptop if you want casual gaming or high-end desktop if you are enthusiast.
I grabbed a hp 15L desktop with a 6400 and a 5600g off of FB marketplace....for 100 bucks, i mean tbh. If people are still buying "ibuy" anything these days....they deserve to get scammed
if, and I stress IF this were like 399, 450, it'd be an 'ok' product. not great, but for 'baby's first gaming pc' it's serviceable. The board gives you options for upgrades, you have 4 Dimms, and with a 750 watt PSU you could put a respectable GPU into this. For what they are asking, yeah no. One thing to consider is games are now starting to come out that require some form of Ray tracing cores. For example the new FF7 Rebirth needs RT cores to compile the shaders before you play. Why not recommend a 6600. There is no point to suggest a 580. the price difference is so little already its crazy.
RX 580 hasnt been officially supported by AMD since Oct of last year... the AMD GPU forums and facebook groups are covered with issues now since December... I would avoid telling your viewers to buy systems with gpus that arent supported anymore
