Thank you, I love your work. I've followed your peyote beaded lanyard tutorial and I was wondering how to tie the ends and I'm so glad you shared this.
Very cool, so thankful for people like you who teach how to do these things ☺️ I just started beading a couple years ago and still consider myself a beginner beader, and so far I've found that I'm a very watch and learn learner who needs to actually see 🧐 what the person is doing up close and step by step so I can pick it up too, it also helps very much that it's on video so I can pause or go back and rewatch certain parts too 😅 subscribed so I can come back again in the future when I try different projects
This video shows how I end my lanyards and connect them at the bottom with a keyring. Are you thinking maybe how I start? There's a video I uploaded on how to start ☺️
I was so excited to watch your first video on this. Got through the second video and thought to myself, okey you got this. NOT It took me the better part of 2 hours to figure out how to get the 9 bead count on this graph paper. Had to re watch the first video. I assume now the first row is 5 beads, the 2nd row is 4 beads etc., hence the uneven count. Are all ropes/chains done in un even count? I have been struggling with coming up with a pattern so I can start. It would be nice if you provided us beginners a pattern to bead, to see if this is something we truely would enjoy. I for one got discouraged trying to draw out a pattern. Perhaps you could make a video tutorial on how to design a peyote rope chart. I love your teaching method, matter of fact, concise and lots of laughter. Thanks so much, for your time and effort to teach us. I truely appreciate you. :)
Hmmm... I did put a link for a template in my description above. It should be 9 beads around the rope then hop every other bead to start. I would stick with one solid color to start. Then you can have a physical template to see where you'd like to put designs. But, I will speak about designs more when I do the peyote stitch ring video. Which I will try to post Friday. And don't get discouraged. I made plenty of mistakes in the beginning, that's why I wasn't such a big fan. But, when I finally started thinking of my own designs, I started to feet more confident 💜 and now I enjoy beading this way ☺️
Oh yea! And it's an odd count for this style. That's why I do 9 beads around. You could increase or decrease your beads around. Just make sure it's an odd count. There are other ways to peyote stitch but, this is the only way I've been doing it.
Hi there! There is a video on tubular even count peyote stitch which is even count. The only difference is you'd have to 'step up' every row by going through 2 beads at the end of your row. Follow exactly the same instructions as Melissa but use the even count stitch :)
Thanks for your awesome videos. Question? Does it have to be the Aleena’s Jewel glue? Can we I use B-7000 or tacky glue? I’m done just need the glue. I love seeing your videos it’s so helpful. Where do I go for PDF graph paper?
Thank you for your compliments and watching 🥰 You can use whichever glue you feel comfortable with. I believe the PDF is in the discription of my 2nd or 3rd upload? But, there are so many resources out there now for graph paper.
For size 11 beads I like to use a 10, 11 or 12. If your beads are breaking try to stick with a higher numbered needle like the 12. Some size 11 beads can be a little tight on the inside.
When you click on the link, it should automatically download onto your computer or give you the option when you open it up. It should have a 'save' button. Probably a floppy disk symbol.
Love your instructions. I'm 73 and just learning to bead.

Just love it when in high school this was my nightmare but thank you for this now I can complete my beadwork like I always wanted.❤
Miigwetch for sharing. I'm going to attempt to make my first key chain. 👍😁
I love all your videos! Could you do one on how to end lanyards? That would be amazing! 🥰

What can you use if you don’t have hide?
Please let me know If it's possible to peyote stitch on a loom.. I have had a stroke so my hands do not work right.
Not too sure if that's possible. But, you can do flat peyote stitch without a loom. I have another tutorial on how I make rings. Hope that helps.
What size needle are you using for you 11 beads? I always end up breaking my beads.
