  • This is a longer video than my usual. I try not to make long videos as I value your time. However, I felt that I must honestly address my experience with this wig. Also, be aware that there are problems that manufacturers do not consider defective.

Goodness gracious, that is an awful defect. This is why I do not believe anything anyone who works for a retailer says. They will say give it some root powder, give it an ice bath, work with it and make it your own, lol. I know they try to be honest but with all the problems with wigs I guess it is very hard. They guilt trip the customer in believing they did something wrong. I find it so strange because they did not manufacturer the wig themselves. Plus the minute a problem is brought up on a group they close off comments. When the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge a defect, forget them. Thank you for your video. It's about time people stand up to these manufacturers.

Exactly! I’ve only seen one retailer publicly call out manufacturers. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!

I think it's unacceptable for a quality brand to produce wigs where you can see wefts! Root or no root. Marlene's Wig Chat had a problem with Henry Margu requesting she take down one of her videos etc. Shocking 💖

I try to buy mono top wigs or a lace part. I have seen this on wigs I purchased at the beginning of my wig journey. I remember a Hairdo wig in particular. I think it’s harder to get a good non rooted wig. I think it depends the style and when it was manufactured. I received a Caliente today that is perfection. The next one might be different.

Thanks for sharing!! I have a Caliente and the lace front won’t lay down so I had to give her bangs. It’s a shame that a quality wig company like Tony of Beverly tells you that you have to buy rooted wig so you don’t see the wefts!

Yes, if I you a $450.00 dress & don't like/fits wrong. The store doesn't say, "Hem it. Dye it. Make it your own!" They don't charge a stocking fee either. Ugh!

I bought my Starly probably 4 months ago. I DO find it to be lower density, but I also find the problem with the wefts, and the one shorter piece on the fringe that just won't lay as it should. All that said, I LOVE the look of the wig, but only from the front. The hair at the nape sticks out so oddly, it looks so "wiggy". I've tried everything I can think of to get it to lie down a bit, but it won't. After 3 years of wig-wearing, I'm still searching for my perfect "me" wig, and one that is affordable.

Definitely not just "low density", same as mine. In fact, I think it's medium density overall. That color really looks great on you, Rachel, I have to say! Linked on my video about my Silverstone unit of Starly as well as my Community Section. ~Cynthia

I definitely agree with you on the density. But who are we? Apparently, just little insignificant wig reviewers in the world of wig retail. LOL Thank you for linking!

Yeah, we're just the ones who keep them in business, what do we know?
