I don’t know why people get astonished. There are a lot of black Hispanics in the world who speak perfect Spanish. Hispanics come from all kinds of different origins. Which is awesome!

She's not a native though. She was born in Mexico almost by accident. She was 100% raised in Kenya, Her family moved back to their country just a few months after she was born. She learned Spanish out of curiosity, just like other famous actors have done (for instance, Gwyneth Paltrow come to my country, Spain, to learn the language and her Spanish is also very good).
