In this video, I'm taking two of my adult kids on a souvenir shopping trip to Main Street Shopping Village Rose Hall Montego Bay. We're visiting during a no cruise ship day and it's the perfect way to enjoy the entire village to yourselves. Well we got there right after some bus loads of tourists had left so we lucked out!
Main Street Shopping Village Rose Hall is a great place to visit if you're looking for Jamaican souvenirs. We found everything we wanted here, from fridge magnets and Blue Mountain coffee candles to T-shirts and wood carvings. It was really fun spending a day shopping with my kids and we really enjoyed ourselves.

I recorded this video in Mobay. I am just remembering the St Ann hills as they were also way louder. Just had to capture what I was hearing so I could listen again lol

I am glad to know there is a Devon House there....when I stay in Montego Bay I usually go to one further into the heart of downtown. Thanks for this tip. When in Portland I frequent the one at Errol Flyn Marina in Port Antonio. I am an addict😂😂😂

Sometimes if we just stop and listen to some of the sounds arounds us, we would appreciate life even more. I wish you had started the video with that sound, even though i thoroughly enjoyed it at the end.

I love those sounds of the night. I don't know if you've ever experienced a cricket inside the house; it's so fricking loud! I can't believe such a tiny creature could be so loud. The thing I keep.asking though is: do you remember how during the summer there would be soooooo many butterflies you could just reach out and catch one easily? I don't see this anymore. First there would be tonnes of caterpillars and then of course the butterflies.
yess omg they are SO loud! Also I recall the butterflies for real. No clue what happened. There used to be black and yellow fat caterpillars on our frangipani tree in the front yard!
Re the tons of butterflies…Hmmn not sure if I saw them this year but every year around march to may, once there’s a lignum vitae tree, there will be butterflies, the yellow ones😊
