This is designed to be played slowly - it’s actually more difficult to play at the tempo marked - to test your air support and tongue placement. Playing it faster (you’re playing it at about 96bpm compared to the 76 that’s marked) only conceals technique shortcomings. I can hear it grunting (undertoning), which indicates incorrect tongue placement. Sorry to have to say so.
Also, it’s marked dolce at the beginning, which should give you a hint at how it should be played stylistically.

💯. In addition to the dolce there is also the marking cantabile. I used to practice this one super slow (at the advice of my teacher) to work on smooth transitions between registers.

This was not the purpose of the exercise, which is practice for legato, ie sustain between the notes, like Harold Wright. Get rid of the reverb, which just hides the problem. Nice playing, however, and typical of many good students. I played like that for 50 years before finally getting a clue.

You're absolutely right, but I just tried to check my mastery. Anyway, very soon I'll submit this etude in the right tempo and with all details which was the purpose of this exercise.
      Best wishes,
