- Metaldozer had an eye-catching stand, with all sorts of custom stage-related metalware, but the new thing Maxwell Feinstein showed us was a bracket that allows a mic stand to be mounted directly onto a pedalboard.

Pleasure talking to you about the Mod Stand. Thanks for stopping by our table!
finally people are thinking of guitarist/singers!! awesome idea
most practical thing I have seen last days
Checking back in to let everyone know that the Mod Stand is NOW available at metaldozer.com
Maxwell this is pretty cool. I know Jason myself he's a pretty cool guy. I've seen pictures of his stands he does a really good job. He is a great singer I love all of his bands.
Couldn't have done it without him!
For everything you need talk to Jason....LOL
Is it compatible with a RockBoard? And how much does it retail for?
Great question! It is compatible with Rockboard. We are working the retail pricing currently
You can purchase the Mod Stand now at metaldozer.com and it retails for $79.99
My only concern with this, and maybe I’m wrong on this, but anything that introduces the possibility of two different circuits (pedals and mic) touching the same piece of metal can have shockingly bad consequences, so to speak.
There hasn't been any issue of this in my 2+ years of personal use of the product. So long as no wiring is exposed and nothing is ungrounded or unshielded this shouldn't be an issue at all.
great but what about those mismatched shoes?
I'm so thrilled you noticed!
@@MaxFeinsteinMusic of course! just because you are working at namm doesn't mean you have to give up on style, right?
@@MatheusLeston I don't even know what the word means :)
Great Idea......$79 price point is way too expensive for this....$30-35 is really where this should be priced at.
Let’s make a solution to a nonexistent problem..
I'm glad it's not an issue you've had. For some people it legitimately isn't problematic
Maxwell Feinstein Maxwell Feinstein not trying to disrespect your efforts. But I fail to see the advantage here. You’d have to mount it and dismount it with screws for every gig. Unnecessary hassle. You already have the mic boom on the regular stand right by the board. AND you loose real estate on the pedalboard, which most guitarist wants to keep as compact as possible for more reverb and fuzz pedals 😜 Make a demo showing us the smart idea behind it in action and I may get it. (Guitar playing vocalist here).
@@jm6734 I'm grateful for the dialogue. To address your first comment the base doesn't have to be removed from your board after each gig. You leave the bracket base on your board and remove the stand. I designed the Mod Stand to deal with a personal dilemma of not being able to negotiate my pedalboards properly around a mic stand in such a way that it would be placed comfortably, even with a boom, and the added benefits have been that my stage plots are a little roomier on small stages without tripod stands cluttering them up, and that at restaurant gigs in tight corners with heavy foot traffic someone is less likely to accidentally knock the microphone over. You mention real estate on the board being at a premium, and I'll agree with that sentiment. We are revising the model to include holes for screws if someone wanted to mount the bracket onto the front face of the board and have it curve up and over. I've gigged on this rectangle substantially over the last 2 years, and if you'd like to see video of me using the Mod Stand on actual gigs to illustrate some of these points I would be happy to provide this as well.
Maxwell Feinstein ok, I can see there may be benefits for tighter stage spaces and a close up crowd. Still -a round base mic stand and some Duct tape...😅 Good luck anyway
