iamthepkmmaster It's sad because every person has their storyboard off. Ignoring the work it takes to make a file full of images into a good looking storyboard. Oh well.
Back in 2013, when I was new in osu!, this was the first map I downloaded and played. I thought that every other maps had storyboards like the one in this map. It is the best SB of all time.
Man. I remember when To Each A Tempo was being written and uploaded to the EBA Live Journal fan page a little over a decade ago. Honestly, Ouendan/EBA was the best fandom I've ever been a part of.
But the fact that people love it comes off as something that could've passed off as the real deal. It's pretty well done as a concept, though the criminal is a recolored character from Phoenix Wright I believe... it's pretty good.
I don't understand... The story makes no sense, "I need to Convince he is a good guy without telling every one he is a EBA agent" and two scenes later.. "YOUR TRYING TO MAKE AN EBA SCANDAL!"
+DiceTheWolf Defamation is also a crime :P (in the Ace Attorney games you only have 3 days to solve the case and in some cases you end up uncovering another load of crimes xD)
It would make sense if the articles that Pathos wrote went into detail about what the EBA were and how they dressed. It doesn't matter if the EBA is real. What matters is if Pathos thought they were real and didn't like them. Example: Pathos: there's a secret organization of men in black suits, wacky hairdos and black sunshades. The world must know about them. The fact that Pathos has shown a predisposition towards exposing someone who wears black and has a wacky hairdo shows his state of mind. Creating a scandal is a possible subsequent action stemming from his obssession. Phoenix doesn't have to prove the EBA are real. All he has to show is that if Pathos believed that this man was an EBA then that is a motive to frame this man.
@@rararasputin8608 Yes. To use a real world example, it’s does not matter if 5G causes coronavirus. If someone is accused of taking down a cell tower and they were talking on Facebook about how “those damned Corona causing cell towers are ruining our lives” then their previous words can be used as a possible state of mind that would have lead them to take down a 5G tower. The objective truth does not matter. The subjective truth, the truth in someone’s mind, does! That’s kinda why insanity is a viable defense at times. The specific person’s perception of reality is skewed.
The plot of the beatmap is based on the "To Each a Tempo" PW/EBA crossover fanfiction, where the EBA's existence is supposed to be secret (they are cheering their target from some distance, or something)
I was playing this beatmap when my parents told me the lunch is ready, right at the "Don't stop me now, I'm having such a good time" part. My thoughts matched perfectly with the lyrics at the time.
Is is INCREDIBLY well done! Authentic looking EBA interface, and the OBJECTION! that appears when you screw up at the last leg is a very nice touch! Clearly, a lot of work went into this. I wish I had a touch screen monitor; I suck at using a mouse playing OSU!.
I found this video when I was in my EBA phase in 3rd-ish grade. I had no idea what Ace Attorney was, but now that I do, I can tell which parts of other characters were used to make the original ones in this video lol.
If only court was more like this. 4 minute montage of Don't Stop Me Now by Queen with a badass lawyer proving some guy is the murderer. Makes me want to have his business card if I end up in court.
Ok, so something I've never understood about this is how saying that he was creating an EBA scandal doesn't "reveal the EBA's secret"? I assume the secret is that the guy is an EBA?
Probably something about trying to make some crazy random conspiracy to distract people from the murder. Then again, the agents themselves aren't really a secret when they, without disguises, save the world from aliens. And zombie infestations. And literally everything else.
The fanfic this thing is based on reveals that the decisive witness was writing tabloid articles to prove the EBA are real (the author of the fic establishes early on that no one knows the EBA are real and that they operate from the shadows). Phoenix argues that Pathos essentially tried to create a scandal by passing himself off as an Agent and committing the murder to then write an article painting the EBA as villains. Which is admittedly the best Phoenix can do without revealing the existence of the agency to the world. The author also noted the whole fic takes place before the Christmas story in EBA (the one done to the song Inspiration), so this is well before the alien invasion.
This was tackled in another comment, which in this case is to avoid divulging EBA secrets such as how they roll and all. Here Phoenix manages to shift things as an attempt of defamation of the EBA. Edit: It involves the author's note of Phoenix trying not to prove EBA is real, it's a bit tricky.
@@CyberLink70 In the fanfic this map is based on, the EBA is essentially an urban legend. Phoenix Wright gets hired as the attorney to represent agent J under the promise to not reveal anything about the EBA under any circumstances. Because of this, Phoenix is stuck with trying to prove Pathos is the killer without divulging anything related to the EBA. Which is why his argument was that Pathos framed J (or Stewart) of a murder he didn't commit to validate his conspiracy theories about the existence of the EBA (the scandal Wright is referring to).
Glad to see Wright's recovered from the evidence forgery stuff! Must've taken quite a bit of talking to get himself back in. XD THEY SHOULD MAKE THAT SCENARIO IN OSU.
Can you guys tell me about the background? What is this video? Is this a game? Where is it from? I really liked the atmosphere, but now it's so interesting to find out what kind of video it is
It's actually a fan mashup of 2 different games. The two lawyers, the spirit medium, and the judge are all characters from 'Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney'. The agents are from the english version of the DS game that osu! is based on, called 'Elite Beat Agents' in english, and 'Osu! Tatake! Ouendan!' in JP. Since those games had licensed music, the entire game was remade with different songs and characters from JP and english versions. The comic style used is also exactly how the story sections in EBA play out. The gameplay sections also accurately emulate how the animations in Phoenix Wright look, though that game is more a visual novel. The entire animation was actually storyboarded and dynamically changes depending on your performance during gameplay. If you notice, when I hit 100s the man in the blue suit(Phoenix Wright) looses confidence while the man in the red suit(Miles Edgeworth) gains confidence.

It's because it actually resembles an EBA / Ouendan map, instead of cramming as many notes in as possible because fuk u git gud n00b.

The original fanfiction uses Pathos' fixation on the EBA as a legal defense, it makes sense in context
It would make sense if the articles that Pathos wrote went into detail about what the EBA were and how they dressed. It doesn't matter if the EBA is real. What matters is if Pathos thought they were real and didn't like them.
