I just read the news that ASM is being tasked to find out why 72.1% of SPM students don't want to further their studies. Omg ... Of course they don't want to further their studies. Look at the cost of everything - food, education, petrol. Do our local universities give free education to Malaysians ? Nope, isn't it ? Please compare yourself with Singapore. Their education level is free for their citizens, and they have very high standards. Not every family can afford sending their kids to public university in Malaysia, due to the extremely high cost of living. Example Gardenia bread will increase effective 1st Sept 2022. How are the lower income families going to survive? Why don't all the ministers give away 3 years of their salaries, allowances so that these monies can help these lower income families ? We think of going to become a develop nation, but I think we are far from reaching that goal.
