Oh, you are still alive? XD Better stay tuned and wait for my GBC from this set :3 Milan, did you use any worm gears? I saw some rubber bands which are good for shooter module, but worm gear is useful to slow down the model
Nice model ! This is ncie to see how you design it, especially the fact that you build a bit oldschool compare to markus who use lot of frame and you less.
This is fantastic! It's a great design and the functions are clever and well thought out like the locking trunk door, steering, and gearbox! I also like the use of the System pieces to smooth out the design too!
Congratulations. Fantastic model. As a lover of technic and land rover, this is a day one purchase for me. Thank you for all the effort you placed into this model. Well done
The model is fantastic! What cons I noticed though: - the steering wheel is a bit flimsy; - the winch control would be better to set inside the cabin. That said I understand some times it's physically impossible to implement functions (or make them work better) due to lack of space or limit of proper pieces, so I'm sure Grohl666 did the best with the model! I'll buy it!
Congratulations, awesome model, your attention to detail is unbelievable. Since the arocs I was waiting for a model that is very complex but kids can also play with it, this is just perfect
I am definitely going to buy this set. Hopefully some time at the end of next year. I love that technic is now doing licenced large scale cars, cant wait for the next one
I love this set, glad to get a new color as well! I was happy seeing the flame yellow color introduced to technic with the 4x4 crawler, but besides panels, it doesn't introduce many new technic beams in that color, but this took it to a whole other level and makes me feel spoiled! I hope this is a trend that continues with obscure and rare/new colors
I am really looking forward to building this. It looks like the most complex Technic set ever. And, how cool is it that your set looks more like a Land Rover than the one it's modelled on.
Why are people complaining about the blue pins? Lego Technic always had base colors for base parts. Yes, today we have more colors, and I kinda miss the times when pins, connectors and axles were available in a one color. Sometimes it's difficult to decide which connector to use: a classic grey or a modern black or red.
Really awesome set, Milan! Super looking forward to buying and assembling. Nice realistic functions plus great looks as well. Love the colour too. Those rims are going to work well for 1:10 cars too I think.
It was 2014 and a very rainy night when Jimmy the fresh Lego worker accidentally molded 6,000,000,000 blue technic pins over a single night. To hide the obvious mistake he pursuaded fellow designer colleagues to use the pins in very upsetting places until spring 2074.
Very nice work here mate, you really packed the car full of features. I like the exclusive Olive colure idea however I think this would look better in Gray or dark blue or dark Green.
I really like this model, and all the functionality. I already pre-ordered it and am looking forward to building it in the next moth to come Great job.
Can't you designers tell your bosses at Lego, that Blue Pins are ugly as hell on every model ... same goes for the red/yellow/white/whatever gears, axles etc... we don't need those colors. We could build models before with black and gray. Worked perfectly.
BTW, your channel really does deserve more views. Someone shows some creation that....well....isn't the best, and it gets 100,000 views. it doesn't make sense to me!
It's becaues he don't do all the colourful thumbnails and click bate and he don't project his personality when speaking like some of the 100k Lego channels who are just as old.
Although I´m neither a big fan of offroad cars nor of the latest LEGO Technic lineup to me this is the first Technic passenger car with a realistic body shell that really works as a whole. The technical functions are accessible and the sculpturing of the outside surfaces also looks very convincing. Together with the Creator Expert Mustang this is a very tempting car year for AFOLs.
I just noticed that with 3 extra wheels and an extra bar with gear teeth used for steering, you can build two monster trucks with rear wheel drive with one of these.
Very nice model. It is interesting that Lego is allowing designers to post official set design videos on their own channels, as I did not think that was allowed in the past. Is Lego loosening the rules?
Dude wtf. This is dope as fuck. Remember trying to design the steering along with front suspension as a kid. Never figured it out with my limited pieces but this is amazing.
Hi Milan, congratulations for the amazing work with the gearbox and decoration details towards authenticity! Just wished that you have used this opportunity to explore a never seen before possibility of the old LEGO differential in official sets. The differential lock feature that would help the car getting out of the mud, probably even better than the traction mats. :)
I don't think the parts needed for that are in production anymore, as you would need the old style drive ring and axle connector. But yeah would have been nice to get that feature.
Given that the old dif is still produced O admit the old driving ring can also be produced as well. BTW, wonder why is the old diff still used for the center diff and aparently only for that.
Well... probably because the new one requires a space with 5M width. But so the old one as well, I guess. Can't verify at the moment. So the question persists!

It looks very accurate and it has a lot of functions, but not so happy about the accuracy of the mechanics, with the main gearbox being in the rear and the way it shifts with the round piece or that reverse is a separate lever or the numerous U joints transmitting power where there is no articulation.
