The clearcoat isn't needed just for scratch repair if you regularly wax the headlights just as you should for the paint.

There is no quick fix available for that type of scratch lol
by sanding it you remove the uv protection on them they will turn yellow in a couple years

Next summer when the sun strikes again the head lights will turn yellowish, it's far better having little scratches over than remove the UV coat of the plastic 💀
Nope, this paint has UV protectants added in. Will last several years of direct sunlight before any fading happens. And then guess what... its the *exact same fix*. Stop inventing things to get upset about please.

it wont, just like cars dont turn yellow. it will last 6-7 years before it starts flaking off

What is "tack"?
What is tack ? İs it oilcloth possible
It's called a tack rag or tac cloth , it's a rag that is kinda sticky and it picks up and traps dust and small debris

If it’s the head gasket you might have to replace it 😂
Now welcome to UV rays...
That's a TON of sanding for headlights that were already quite clear to begin with...could have just used 400 grit right on the scratch, 1000 grit on that, then 2000 wet or 3000 dry on that, then a polishing pad and some polish and saved a lot of time and money. The clearcoat isn't needed just for scratch repair if you regularly wax the headlights just as you should for the paint.
did bro remove manufacturers lense lining from the headlight? lol
If you mean did I remove the factory coating, yes I did lol
@@modernvehiclecare the lines on lenses are often manufacturers marked lines not scratches
@@modernvehiclecare otherwise it’s just too ideal to be so straight
That was done perfectly
So sand the headlight out of the car. Then install it and mask everything off to paint it? Don't paint it off the car and install after painting? Any benefits of doing it this way?
I wouldn’t do it any other way lol the headlights need to dry while on the car for me to leave the work site

Buy cerium oxide at the nearest hardware store, a special pad with your polisher at low RPM and polish the glass without replacing anything.
If y’all do this make sure you are using a polisher and not a normal sander, the sander will melt the plastic if you sand in the same place like he in the video did but if you use a polisher that is made to go slower and not generate heat then you’re all set 🙏🏼👍🏼
Never tack clear coat. Also the proper way to do this repair is with compound and polish. Clear coat isn't designed to stick to plastic. It will look good for a while but it will begin peeling in the future.
thx
I don't like the s1 that much but I saw some people comparing the s1 with the RE GT and RE INT on instagram :) Like the level of insecurity in the Indian biking community, well, barely a community is just next level!
May i know or get a link of what machine you used with the mini sanding discs
You had me right up till the 2K.
What about the debris from the air when spraying outside? I know you are using talk cloth after the first coat but when you apply the heavy coat still somethings can land on the wet paint. Or should i just do it and stop thinking about it?
It’s pretty rare that something lands on it honestly. Just make sure to do it in a clean area outside. The 2k dries and loses tackiness super fast so debris won’t have much time to land on it
@@modernvehiclecare so it looks im gonna try to restore my headlights 🤣
Tell me bro, I used low-quality varnish and I got a bad coating, can I sand everything again and make it like yours?
Of course you can bro. 400 grit should be able to remove whatever you applied. Then work your way up with sanding and spray again with 2K
