"There is the person in front of you, and then there is yourself. Listen to yourself, not the opinion of the person in front of you. Follow your own path." Such a good lesson.
When I used to train martial arts back in high school my trainer modernised traditional martial art techniques and taught us which one worked and which ones are just fancy movements and just for show... Back in high school those were the best days of my life...
“It’s better to be a warrior in a garden. than a gardener in a war” this guy has done his time in the mountains and he has come down from the mountain . Nothing more calm and nothing more deadly!
As a retired Deputy Sheriff in Los Angeles County that unfortunately had to use lethal force against a despicable gang member near Lynwood, CA I have great respect for tactical firearms training for civilians, especially in this era. There are thousands of “gun expert” channels with experienced instructors, (which I hope there are more by the day,), BUT it makes me irate that these persons in a position of great authority are almost unanimously standing upright shooting at metal or paper targets with no dynamic movement or applicable scenarios. This isn’t the time to impress people with the hobbies and skills of range shooters, this is the time to let people learn about realistic situations and mindsets that occur when under deadly attack. Your training is the best I’ve scene. When I was under fire and had to either evade or kill to survive, I was on my stomach, I was shooting with one hand due to my need to use my coms, my hand was wet from blood that was the result to diving into pavement when under fire, and I was disoriented and somewhat deaf from the close quarters combat environment. Your training is superior to that of two academies that I visited to discuss my shooting incident. Virtual reality doesn’t work, range shooting doesn’t work, you need to be uncomfortable, moving for cover, dealing with lack of orientation, unexpected injuries, etc. The Special Enforcement Bureaus, SWAT, and of course all of the military trained tactical response units receive elite scenario training; But civilians that are being sold out by their own politicians, and need real life dynamics now more than ever. I work at a major studio now doing threat assessments and I promise everyone that the liberals and celebrities that publicly state “nobody needs guns!” all have guns, have emergency evade and evacuation plans, and don’t go anywhere without highly experienced off duty or retired law enforcement, or special ops veterans guiding their exit. Once again, much Respect to you sir. Randomly came across your site for the first time and was very relieved to see realistic tactics taught to those that don’t have their heads buried in the sand. Listening to some teenagers discuss foot placement and hand grip is fine for country club target shooting, but when 3 gangbangers are spraying your car with an uzi and Ak-47’s in an ambush, you immediately go into a mental state of preparation due to the realistic training, or you’re dead. If I hadn’t been extremely acclimated to gunfire and lethal threats as was routine in my patrol region, I have no idea how myself or anyone else would have reacted. You are doing a very important service. God Bless!
Your videos are the best on UA-cam in my opinion, it's amazing how you pass on this knowledge to us for free, no doubt often learned the hard way. We all become a little harder to kill with each video you put out. Many thanks and respect to you from across the pond.
0:18 Listened to this again this morning before work and it hit a bit differently. I find myself coming back to this speech frequently and I’m grateful for it. 🙏
Tu Lam, you are a great warrior! Thank you for your service to our country and for inspiring us to excel. You are a great role model, leader and inspiration!!!
Every time he says "Understand this", it reminds me of Miaymoto Musashi's (Book of Five Rings) quote at the end of every lesson: "You must understand this." (or some derivation thereof)
Glyph Suritos A common courtesy in weapon safety is to clear it before handing it to anyone. Gun counter attendants will typically do this. And in turn someone may maintain good practice by clearing one whenever they pick it up. It was a simple courtesy to inform/remind him of the weapon’s condition. Weapon safety comes before anything. “There’s nothing macho about guns” Hickock45 once said. The basic four rules are: treat every weapon as though it’s loaded; never point a weapon at anything you do not intend to destroy(never point one at someone with the excuse that it isn’t loaded - refer to rule 1); keep your finger off the trigger and; be sure of your target and anything behind or around it. Alongside those for me is rule 5: always maintain control of your weapon- in regards to off-body carry. Know the status of it. Even if you’re not an owner, it’s good to know these should you ever come across one and know how to safely handle it.
Mr. Lam thank you again for your knowledge! I learn something new on each video. Thank you for your services Sir, welcome home and please keep knowledge flowing! Again I hope to train with you one day.
Its interesting to me how much overlap there is with hand to hand martial arts and combat firearm tactics. Not just in fighting principles but also in proper method of movement. Silat and Kali tactics have the same ideology that you present here of efficiency of movement and footwork. I always find it interesting how seemingly unrelated areas of practice have such overlap. It proves to me that there are unarguable truths in fighting. I found it most surprising though the shared concept of isolation of the lower and upper body movement.. blew my mind.
Love this guy..... Was introduced to him by Shawn Ryan of Vigilance Elite. I've been binge watching Ronin for a couple weeks now and have been trying to mimic his training the best I can. He explains techniques better than some guys I've watched on UA-cam.
the natural professionalism of this dude is unmatched. he doesn’t need to tell that dude there’s a round in the chamber, he already knows. but just like muscle memory, he tells him. I really dig the way this dude trains and teaches these men and women. and the way he speaks. it’s not always super proper or anything, but it’s real. especially when he was talking about questioning why on something. you’re not doing it to be an asshole, you’re doing it to understand the mechanics of it.
It's crazy to me how people like IV8888 and Hickock have more subscribers than this guy. Don't get me wrong, I love those guys. But what exactly do you learn from watching 8 million gun reviews? This guy is dropping actual tactical knowledge on people. Keep up the good work sir.
Starting vs advanced. How many white belts are in a martial art? How many black belts are in that martial art? Fewer still, How many masters? The bigger guntuber channels are good for people wondering, "What gun should I get?" These sort of tactics videos are advertisements for companies that are looking for people with the question "How do I become proficient with my gun?"
I know this is from 2 years ago, but I’m just now practicing this on my range. This is not as easy as you make it look. This is very good training material for me. I hope to get better at it and be able to pass this along to my students. Thanks for the videos.
Thank you for these videos. i have learned a-lot i can never afford any training as i have a family i support. I learn to defend the lives of those i love and the defenseless. GOD bless u aways.
I love the training you have shared and hope you continue to do so brotha, so a huge thank you. If I may offer some constructive criticism: a four minute intro for every video is a bit conceded. Even if it’s the first video a “newbie” watches, whose never seen another one of your videos, it may be their last, after the four min delay. Could these intros can be more concise and less self aggrandizing ( no ego right)? I would recommend, in my humble opinion, putting these intro clips into one “intro to my channel video” on the main page.
He makes me want to shoot every time I watch but I’m down to once a week because of prices but I go through my house dry firing on targets all the time and doing reloads

I love this guys teachings because he integrates traditional martial art methods and techniques into modern warfare.
VIVI1337 Now he’s on COD Modern Warfare lol
Ronin: "Move like a Tank and keep your toes moving forward"
COD MW: "Not happening, everyone moving like a grandma tonite."

Plus, he’s Asian so it’s not only exotic, it also feels authentic.
That life lesson should be played for every high school student in this country. Well said sir. God bless.

In my late thirties, I ve become addicted to learning.
I learn something from this guy every sentence tha comes outta his mouth
By far you are one of the greatest yet humble teachers it's been my pleasure to gain knowledge, understanding and direction from.
Thank YOU

what is the significance of this? im a complete newbie, dont know why im here/why im even watching but i watched the video throughout
Glyph Suritos it’s pretty much just informing the other guy that the weapon is loaded

"round in the chamber." Idont know if its just me but that sounded so bad ass when he said that to his assistant.
love these videos, really looking forward to your next open classes!!
Can’t believe they’re using you as an operator in modern warfare 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Christian Backmon what really ??
Ozan Se he like just came out I believe.. along with two of his guns and a hachet
Anakin Skywalker yeah i saw it on mw, really nice with his pistol and his AR
Christian Backmon that’s crazy
Ozan Se I agree his pistol looks amazing, but sadly in MW pistols are obsolete unless it’s snake shot akimbo.
"Shoot slow and move fast." Reminds me of my mom teaching me to parallel park as a kid. "Move slow and turn the wheel fast."
