Hi Chad and Tara. Thanks for posting this video. We just received our 353G. We have the 1/2 bath in the garage and to our surprise we have laundry hookups. We have noticed a few inconsistencies in the build but is a great unit for us. Thanks again.
Great Video as always. Well edited and great camera work. Wanted to tell you guys you did a video some time ago on the Blackstone Griddle and it changed my cooking life. Just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for you Amazon store as well. What a difference in clean-up and ability to cook multiple foods. Again thanks for your video and channel. Been RVing for 46 years and cooking for longer. WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
Good to see you guy's again. It has been to long. It's always great to see you guy's having fun and doing your thing. Don't be strangers to the network. Your advise is greatly appreciated.... Lu
All of that counter space was sweet. I do think your's has more cupboard and drawer storage though, especially with the hutch unit yours has. That flip up counter space next to the sink was way cool. That's a great place to sit a dish draining unit when your washing dishes. Free's up a lot of counter space then. Hmmm I wounder if since that flip up counter is something that is just mounted at the end of a counter, if it might be something that Lazy Day's can put into your couch at the sink end. Just thinking out loud. Safe travels......P.S. You need to check with Lazy Days and maybe find out if you can get the stones for your fireplace??
Checked some vids and love it. You both looked way better before and after ' changing lanes' to the RV life. This is what my wife and I had planned for next few years down the road. Have fun and be safe. Subscribed.
Hope you enjoyed the show in Tampa. We also liked the roomy living space but opted for the 320G. It has a half bath also with a 2165 pin weight. Really enjoy the great videos and appreciate you sharing all the how to videos.
You guys are putting out great videos. Chad, you took me back to my time in the Navy with your video in Norfolk Virginia. I spent 10 yrs in the Hampton roads area on two carriers and a tour at NAS Oceana. I'm just getting into RV'ing and you guys are very inspirational.Keep up the good work "Shipmate".
Thanks for the nice run-through. Happy travels from San Diego and don't forget about the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" when you make it out this way. Happy travels!
I always get great ideas from you guys!! I have the roll up sink cover in our house but hadn't occurred to me to get one for the toy hauler...yes those heavy covers are a useless overall. Just ordered today on Amazon. (yes I am an Amazon addict too)
I've watched a ton of reviews and guys do a great job detailing everything but also making it more enjoyable to watch! Also enjoy your destination videos too, kind up the great work you two🤘
I’m not sure if this is the one I saw with the really big payload. The largest 5th wheel payload I saw at the Tampa show was 4400 lbs. It was a 2 axle GD toyhauler. I might have missed the payload/cargo capacity in the video. That is a nice looking rig. Thanks for posting.
Thomas Boswell maybe biggest payload GD, but ATC payloads are about double these, with more industrial looking interiors. If you prefer a more residential look, GD has a lot of good stuff.
David Clark you are right. There were trailers there that can carry more but they were more utilitarian than residential. The DW wouldn’t even consider one of those.
Thank you for reviewing this Momentum. We go full time soon and I (Paul) really want a toy hauler. My wife not so much. But this might be a mind changer!! Thank you very much. Great video!!
Thanks for the video! We camped at the Tampa rv super Show all 4 nights. We didn’t see y’all . We trued to go to the wing resturant but couldn’t find parking in our class b😞. Maybe next year if y’all do another big meet up y’all can maybe try to have it in the show or the parking lot?, Thanks!
Thanks for tour. Nice rig but I’d want a larger convection microwave, free-standing dinette and TV directly in front of couch seating. Really like all the kitchen counter space and I actually like the shower curtain. What’s your thoughts on G class Momentum sturdiness/durability for full time use compared to the heavier ones?
These are being built with the same quality as the rest of GDRV's lineup, so we would gamble they are about the same. These lighter models are mostly lighter due to the interior components and straight frame, I believe.
I like the layout. If they added a foot and put it in the garage length it would be very close to perfect. Will also have to look at the 393 when it is time to move up. Right now it would be the 349M
Hi Guys, I’m impressed by the shelving and pull out drawers in the cupboards nice improvement! 👍🏼 lots of cupboard storage. I had to hire a carpenter for my Solitude because of super tall cupboards with one shelf, and others with none. 😕 I think what would be a really cool idea, like Tara said is put the dining table where the two seat theatre seats are, but the space may not allow, so build the table that connects to the wall, but can be disconnected to pull away for room for 4 people when needed. Because most people want theatre seating directly across from the tv and some would like a table too. Cheers 🍻.
If you're ever out by Reno Nevada let's go for a ride i have a 2014 street glide. I been living in my fifthwheel for over 6 years learned a lot in the past 6 years.
I added the new three season doors to my 2017 350M, they said it might not fit but I decided to take my chances after looking at the specs. It fit perfect and is awesome, so much easier to keep warmer. Especially living in it full time.
I’ve looked at a bunch of your links and I can’t find your outdoor large carpet/mat and we also need to know what washer dryer you have please 😊 Hopefully you can let us know about both. Also thank you Sooooooo much for the hack about the poster board on the frosted windows! Definitely doing that!
That's one of the few items we bought off the shelf at camping world, so we don't have a link for it.. 😞 Our washer and dryer are both Splendide brand. Washer is ARWXF129W and the dryer is TVM63F. Yes... we DO like them a lot! Sure, they're not the giant LG's we had in our sticks and bricks, but they do a very good job and it's nice to be able to do our own laundry in our own home. Note: the dryer is vented to the outside. We've heard horror stories about non-vented combo units. You can see them here: ua-cam.com/video/naBT6x14J2c/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
Nice Job! Did you do a video on your Happi Jack Mod with tables in back? I don't use bench seats and was thinking of removing them and making storage that moves up/down on Happi Jack System. Going to keep bed up top. You two are fun to watch -thx
Hi Chad and Tara. I've been subscribed and watching you for a while, always good content and something to learn. You first peaked my interest because of your rv and motorcycle lifestyle. I have a 5th wheel toy hauler that my wife and our toy of choice is a Victory XCT. Have you ever seen a toy hauler with no garage? That's what I have, it's only 33' but can fit up to a full sized Razor side by side. That would be bit full but the full dresser Bike we have is a lot of fun and we have done some incredible side trips with it. I would love to see more content on the Bike side of your lifestyle. Love you guys!
Oh no! Be sure to follow us on FB and IG. We announced meet and greet times there... Sorry we missed you! facebook.com/ChangingLanesRV instagram.com/ChangingLanesRV
Oh boy I love this plan. Too much comparing to your own TH though, but I get it... comparing what you know to what ya see there. I wouldn't have looked up specs on this one until I saw this video. Well within my truck's limits. Looks like the 393G gains overall length with the larger garage, they didn't take space from the living area to get the garage bigger. This overall is 38'6", the 393G says 43'9"! That's huge!
@@ChangingLanes - Never thought about raising the nose of the RV to adjust the ramp angle. OBVIOUS easy fix; I just didn't think of it. ROFL!! (The "obvious" often eludes me. hahaha) See, this is why I read the comments. You sometimes get really good info from those comments. Thanks guys; great video as usual.
We just bought the 2021 Momentum 393G which does have the W/D hookups & the 16 ft garage! Everything else is the same as the smaller RV. And the GVWR is below 20k at 18k.
FYI - You may have already been told there is a washer/dryer hook up in the 353G garage on the other side of the wall from the mirror in the half bath in the garage. We just bought one.
My husband and I watch a lot of RV living shows, but no one ever shows a trip to Colonial National Historical Park, Yorktown, VA 23690. It would be great to see this for any of you to go and youtube about it.
Hi Guys, first let me say we love love love your channel, I have a tech question about towing this with our new 2020 2500HD Denali, I’ve searched online for what the differences would be between the 2500HD and 3500HD as they have the same power train, I am guessing its all about the rear suspension (that extra leaf spring)..... with 3600lbs (give or take) of payload capacity and 18500 of towing on mine would this be a good/safe match? We dont have (and no plans) motorcycles, atv’s or even a golf cart :), the only thing would be bicycles, a kayak and a paddleboard. I know it might sound like a dumb question but I am curious to hear your opinion on this. Coming from a GDRV Reflection 297RSTS. Thanks.
With fivers, payload / cargo capacity of the truck is usually the limiting factor before tow capacity, with the exception of RAMs with that 68RFE transmission. So, with 3600 payload, subtract the hitch, passengers, tools etc... Let's say 3000 lbs left over. With a fiver having around 22% (usually 20-25%, but lets use 22 for this exercise), it's just a math problem to extrapolate it out. (3000*100) / 22 = 13,636. So, with 3000 lbs actual cargo capacity (pin weight), the fiver should weigh no more than 13,636-ish. Even though the truck can pull much more. Hope that helps!
@8:35 Tara you just made me literally "LOL" while I'm sitting here in 54 degrees in shorts and a t-shirt. And is it just me or is it weird to have a TT or 5th Wheel where you can't access the bedroom when the slide is in??
I'm sure someone must make a back door that will replace the plastic doors. How hard could it be? Great job you two! As always, but we know Tara has the hard job.(editing)
Great video, we missed you this year at the “Big Show”, you guys are very cool to watch. BTW, any chance of you guys could list you camera gear on your website? Thanks!!
Whew! Having just bought the 2020 349M, I was worried you were going to show me a new model that I liked more. Thankfully, I still like the 349M a lot better; similar length/weight but with a 13 foot garage, three slides, larger refrigerator, etc. Just had the MORryde IS/Disc Brakes installed on mine and I already added a 1280W Solar System/Battleborn batteries as well. Thanks for the review of this new model. I'm hoping you share your suspension issues that were shown on EnjoyTheJourney.Life's video.
Craig Carter They have a plan that fits everyone. I just put a deposit down on one of these 353Gs because it fits me just fine. If I was going to be a full time RV person or needed a larger garage then some other plan could work better. To each his own.
Do you guys think it would be worth my while to go to Indiana to buy a camper to avoid the transportation cost? Do they have a factory direct location? I live in the central part of the east coast. Camp on the way back. I like the imagine line of bumper pulls.Thoughts?
We have a KZ Venom toy hauler with very similar specs we pull with our Chevy 3500 Duramax Diesel, single rear wheel axle. We don't full time, it's just used for family trips. A little piece of advice to anyone else planning on towing a rig this size with a single rear axle one ton truck- you might want to invest on a good set of airbags if your truck doesn't come with them stock. Just my two cents, but the airbags made the world of difference. 😊
Saw this model at the Denver RV show, didn’t have 1/2 bath. For the most part I liked it except I wish there was a designated pantry, possibly used a 8cuft fridge with a pantry area along the side. Also it’s inconvenient to have to have to pull the slide out in order to access the bathroom and bedroom. 😕
Hey Kelly! Thanks for the feedback. The half bath in the rear makes is accessible for a bathroom break while traveling. Doesn't fix the fridge access, but we have found that some will utilize the outdoor kitchen refer or they will put a small dorm size refer in the garage. Bedroom will still be difficult, but depending on what use the garage is using.... Could always access that area if needed or able. Thanks again for the feedback!
Curious to your opinion going to residential fridge vs. propane / electric. Would this also eliminate the need for propane? Going with 397TH: I appreciate all your videos. Notice you on a GD brochure at the Atlanta show. Ray Clark spoke highly of you both, very nice man. Shared how helpful you guys are.
Ray is a great guy! We like having the propane option on our fridge for when we boondock or moochdock. But, if you'll be in RV parks with 50A all the time, a residential is the way to go for sure. The water heater is also propane or electric. Hope that helps!
My wife and I have just started following you on youtube and we like the way you detail your videos. We are close to the point in life to full time rv living. We will be up grading to a toy hauler for some of the same reasons ( office, space for company, back deck, hauling toys etc.) just curious about the type of work you do, if you can share, if not that's ok
Welcome to our channel! 😊 I (chad) work in IT (systems integration and automation development) and have been with the same company for 18 years and have telecommuted for the last 9 of those years. Both of us work on the channel - Tara does all of our editing, which is a full-time job. Nomad life is a great fit and we're so happy we can share it through our content!
Indeed! I was active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1986-1992. I worked as an AT (Aviation Electronics Tech) on E2-C Hawkeyes in VAW-120, then VAW-124. In VAW-124, we deployed on the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt for Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Thank you for your service! 🇺🇸
@@ChangingLanes Thank you as well. I retired in 97, Operations Specialist, shipboard radar. Worked with many an ET. Love your channel, getting lots of ideas. We will be hitting the road Winter of 20-21. Finding out early that Florida is difficult to get into. Your video on Key West was very inspiring. Thanks again.
For a toy hauler it does have a nice living space. My only complaint is the stairs to get to the main bathroom and bedroom are on the far side and you cannot get to it with the slide in. I know there is the half bath you can get to but my kids are notorious for saying they need to go to the bathroom as we are passing the rest areas. Also not a big fan of putting slides out when boondocking before continuing on to destination.
Wow, that is probably the coolest design I've seen on a toy hauler! I love the kitchen. Is it an an all season? I'd hesitate on too on the no washer deal. Is there no way to fit it in the master closet? Absolutely love you guys videos! You give me hope. I suffer with autoimmune disease too. Fibromyalgia, degenerative disk disease, and arthritis. And im only 44. So Tara, I totally feel for you on your down days hun. And Chad, it warms my heart how much you love and take care of her. Hope to meet you all someday!😊
Not wild about the gray interiors, and boy are they going to look dated in 5 years. But as far as functionality it looks great. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
I love these gclass toy haulers. I prefer the 320g. My kid would love to hide in that loft. The 320g does come with both washer/dryer option and half bath.
Changing Lames Family Good Morning to You Both, Didn't know that you were in the In Business Industry like that to have the Special Pass to get in before the Public.. Bet that Was Cool !! No but we are Now starting to Look for a Nice one ! Cant Wait But $ 85 is a Lot Plus a Dually.. Just like a Mortgage Payment ... Like how you put in Desk in yours.. Take that you work on the Road, think we would have to do something like that our selves... Once we get Closer maybe we can get some more info from you on them ? Listen Be SAFE Out There !!! Lots of Quacks out there lol Thank You for your Time... O and would you have other Video from This Show that you will be Dropping for us to see that are in the Purchasing Stage ? Thanks Again..
Hi! This was just a tour, not a purchase. We're still in our 397TH (ua-cam.com/video/naBT6x14J2c/v-deo.html). 👍🏼 If you're interested in buying advice, our friends Jason and Rae (Getaway Couple) organized an Rv Buyers Bootcamp that will be available online in the next couple of days: rvbuyersbootcamp.com/product/virtualticket/ Good luck!
Am I correct to assume that you can't even begin to access the bedroom, main bath, or the frig without the street side slide extended? This seems like it would be inconvenient if you needed to access the rig on the road.
@@ChangingLanes Thanks for the quick reply Tara! I've really just started into research mode, and have read some say this isn't as big a deal as one would think, while others claim it's a deal breaker. Interested in what you guys really think about this aspect since you've lived the lifestyle for quite a while.
For us, accessibility with the slides in was important. We prefer to use our own bathroom on travel days and have the fridge available also. So, we made that part of our criteria when searching... changinglanesrv.com/the-spreadsheets/
Love your videos. On a Fort Wilderness trip in October traded travel trailer for a Class A gas Winnebago at Lazy Days 3 hours later a hit-and-run driver totaled it , so one once insurance settlement comes I'm going 5th wheel 376th hopefully
@7:01 Was that wasted space there in the corner of the lower cabinets? A lazy susan would have tucked in nicely there... or is that impractical in an RV? I chuckled when you mentioned the bottle opener. You talked about that in your own RV tour. LOL Must have shower sliding door. Not a fan of curtain cuddles.

Enjoyed the tour, makes me want to upgrade. can't wait for summer.
I love this floor plan. I just wish the garage was about 1-2 feet longer. I can't fit my 4 seat Side by Side in an 11 foot garage.
My husband and I watch a lot of RV living shows, but no one ever shows a trip to Colonial National Historical Park, Yorktown, VA 23690. It would be great to see this for any of you to go and youtube about it.
We might have some time to check that out this summer.. 👍🏼
@@ChangingLanes thanks for replying
Changing Lanes thank you so much, this helps a lot.
Changing Lanes, one more question; would you pull it with a SRW 2500HD Denali?
I would like to see a tour of your RV
That's one of the first videos we ever made.. Here you go! ua-cam.com/video/naBT6x14J2c/v-deo.html
Do you know how much your rod for stereo system Cost I'm looking to put the same in Myself . Also solar system
What RV washer and dryer do you recommend for my 5th wheel
Please see: changinglanesrv.com/faq/?Display_FAQ=2190
@8:35 Tara you just made me literally "LOL" while I'm sitting here in 54 degrees in shorts and a t-shirt. And is it just me or is it weird to have a TT or 5th Wheel where you can't access the bedroom when the slide is in??
inaccessibility with the slides in can certainly be an issue for some... We like to use our own bathroom when traveling...
I'm sure someone must make a back door that will replace the plastic doors.
How hard could it be?
Great job you two!
As always, but we know Tara has the hard job.(editing)
I love your rv better
Random question about going full time on the road. For budget estimating what do think would be a safe mileage estimate per year.
That's one variable you have complete control over. For us, we're traveling about 12,000 miles a year and get about 8.5mpg.
Changing Lanes thank you, about what I was thinking.
Great video, we missed you this year at the “Big Show”, you guys are very cool to watch. BTW, any chance of you guys could list you camera gear on your website? Thanks!!
You can find them in our FAQ here: changinglanesrv.com/ufaqs/what-cameras-do-you-use-to-make-your-videos/ 👍🏼
Great informative video guys! Looks like the show price was on the unit though? :)
Yea.. we went back for some more B-Roll and they had put the sign on by then.. 👍🏼
Nice setup! 👍🏼 We shared the leaf spring here: ua-cam.com/video/ss4uEadFIRY/v-deo.html
What was the oil you put in your jacks to stop the creaking?
You can find an article with all of the details here: changinglanesrv.com/hydraulic-system-tips-and-rv-snappads/
Do you guys think it would be worth my while to go to Indiana to buy a camper to avoid the transportation cost? Do they have a factory direct location? I live in the central part of the east coast. Camp on the way back. I like the imagine line of bumper pulls.Thoughts?
GDRV is via dealers only... Only a few like DRV do direct to consumer...
@@ChangingLanes Buy from a local dealer there and get lower trans costs? Thanks for your reply.
We even have them on our dually.... helps a bit with the ride...
Yay! This is the one we got at the Tampa RV show! We LOVE how spacious it is travelling with 2 large dogs! 353G
Congrats!!!
Is this a 2021? Or a 2020 and a half?
Nice lay out on the toy hauler. Less sides means less problems. If you are going to haul something that big why not go head and get a dually truck?
What type of TPMS do you use?
We've had the TST-507 for several years now and it's still great: changinglanesrv.com/tpms
Point out where the fuses are for the lippert leveling system.
See: changinglanesrv.com/rv-hydraulic-system-breaker-replacement-upgrade/ 😊
Electric leveling or ground control 3.0 has the fuses in the brain box which is located on the roof of the front compartment. 👍🏼
@@emilystahley1801 I know that .. just wanted to have them point it out to others so they could check the fuses before they called a techy 😉
@@smittysmitty34 all good :) Thank you!
Haze Gray and Underway. You prior Navy Chad? My wife and I love watching your videos. USN Retired.
Can you maybe replace your garage doors to the new ones? I would think Grand Design can swap them out easy. :)
Definitely a valid concern.
Without the 1/2 bath option, wash/dryer hookups are standard. 👍🏼
Haze gray and underway...remember that.
Heat pump?
I love it but no washer dryer😕 thanks for the tour..hugs🤗💓
Nice video, did they have the 376TH there?? That is the style we are looking at, and no bloopers at the end
Yes.. they had a 376THS there. We did a tour of the 376HT here: ua-cam.com/video/XOFFcEI_eVs/v-deo.html
No bloopers because we nailed it! 😉
I don't know how to add a photo or I would add a photo of our 2020 353G showing the washer dryer hookups.
That's without the 1/2 bath or with?
You can always post it to our FB page: facebook.com/ChangingLanesRV
Do you still use a TMPS system and if so please provide the name and/or mfg.
Thanks
Yes! This one! changinglanesrv.com/tpms

So Witch 1 Are you Now in ? What Model ? Whats good is that you would have a Trade In.. And would you have a Discount Code that someone could use to Purchase a New Camper Trailer ? lol lol !!
👍🏼 If you're interested in buying advice, our friends Jason and Rae (Getaway Couple) organized an Rv Buyers Bootcamp that will be available online in the next couple of days: rvbuyersbootcamp.com/product/virtualticket/
Good luck!
Am I correct to assume that you can't even begin to access the bedroom, main bath, or the frig without the street side slide extended? This seems like it would be inconvenient if you needed to access the rig on the road.
It seems like the fridge is a maybe and the bedroom and bath are a definite no-go....
Ouch! Hope insurance takes care of you!
@7:01 Was that wasted space there in the corner of the lower cabinets? A lazy susan would have tucked in nicely there... or is that impractical in an RV?
I chuckled when you mentioned the bottle opener. You talked about that in your own RV tour. LOL
Must have shower sliding door. Not a fan of curtain cuddles.
I think the space you're referring to holds the outdoor kitchen. 👍🏼
Awesome floor plan. The 11' garage is way too short!
