well hopefully we are setting up something that they can continue if they want too! they love it and are now gettting to be genuine assets to our farming! glad you like it!
I'm just a small timer next to you. I have 2 breeding bucks and 4 breeding does but i do own 4 hectares of land around my house in Europe (Belgium). It is indeed extremely expensive but the land is also an investment and the goats are a hobby and a way to maintain the land. Looking to expand also but out here land doesn't go for sale or lease like that. Space is very sparce here. Good luck finding more land! Have a good m8 from a long time fan!
thanks so much for reaching out, glad you like the videos and we are reaching out to sunny Belgium! something i try and live by with the farm is "start small, think big, scale fast" we just have to keep rolling with what we have but when opportunities arise we go for them!
Well done on video, great to see your family’s vision of strong genetics coming together and with a simple real world approach , but I gotta know about the gate you don’t open and the history of the Bedford truck 😀
much appreciated! the gate is just on the list of things to fix but it kinda still does the job so i never get round to fixing it properly! the bedford is my wifes dads and i dont know much about it, they used to use it for hay carting and its an awesome truck!
Hey there from THE BRIDGE at Gundaroo...have missed your vids and was hoping all was well. Do you have any info on the shelters I spied in the pregnant does paddock (10:49)? Always looking for shelter ideas...Re the land price issue - maybe the recent interest rate rises will take the sting out of current prices? The other side of that sword is, of course, increased interest on repayments. Land prices are all a bit silly at the moment, hey. Maybe when the cashed up city-siders who have recently purchased ag land realise the effort and work involved in just maintaining a property, let alone working one, some will be back on the market at reasonable prices. Truly, I wish them well, but some around here are way out of their depth, eg., NO - you can't just set fire to the paddocks to keep the grass short; NO - the "wild animals" won't keep the pasture down either. Good luck!
thanks mate, we hadnt gone anywhere just hadnt got round to putting a video together! if you have a look in my video history i have a video of the shelters i made from Ibc containers that are cheap and effective. hopefully the land prices get more realistic by next year but yes we have lots of "new urban farmers" lets call them!
To get fullblood, the average Indonesian breeder imports from Australia. And until here, usually fullblood boers are priced at 30 million and super breed at 10 million
Are you exporting your goat this time? I live in Canberra but I am originally from Philippines. Can I visit your farm sometime this spring or summer? Thanks
I wished all kids had a chance to experience farm life. Your little ones are getting so big and what great little helpers you have. ❤

Delightful family.
thankyou
looking at getting into goats on our small cattle property in FNQ, where do you send your goats way when you send them for meat??
We either sell the wethers off to be grown out or we have an abattoir in Wodonga that takes goats and pays pretty well
