I am thinking of one you forgot ...😄
I love Bartleby the Scrivener. That Erdrich book sounds interesting. I'm forming a scheme to get her new book in time for November.
I read Marriage Portrait last year as my first of her work and enjoyed it very much.
Yaaaa, I will be surprised if you don't enjoy Love & Saffron, so underrated!
So funny, I just got past Bartleby mentioned in that certain BTP book as well 😃
Ive probably said it before, but that red colour is my favorite, looks fantastic on you.
I loved the marriage portrait. It was quite a story and really held your attention and I also loved Hamnet, which I realize that was a split decision for a lot of people, but I enjoyed them both-they were completely different types of tales!📚
The Marriage Portrait is one of my favorite of all time! I liked it better than Hamnet.
I'm curious what you think of Ring Shout and the Marriage Portrait. I seem to be in the minority. I can't decide if I missed something and should re-read.
I haven't heard anything either was about Ring Shout, so I'm not sure what to expect. As for The Marriage Portrait, I've heard both extremes, so it will be interesting to see where I land with it. I love O'Farrell's writing, but I don't know how it will measure up to Hamnet.
I'm ready to read The Pearl anytime in September. It's on my nightstand and has definitely been calling my name for some time.
Great! Do you want to start on 9/12? I have a buddy read with Angelia early in the month, but we will have finished by then.
