Japanese univ graduate here. Most University in Japan ask for EJU if you wanna go for japnese degree (all classes in japanese). My advice for those who wants to take science for eju is to get the practice book, JASSO sells it, should be available at book stores or amazon. Get used to the problem types first, they have English version and Japanese version of the same problem so do the English first before you even go to Japanese language school. All problems for EJU are academic so get used to read newspaper and watch the daily news. Warning to those who want to take JLPT and EJU: In japan these tests are only 2 weeks or so apart so be prepared to study a lot for EJU and JLPT right after Handy tricks: EJU result comes first and you could probably predict will you pass your JLPT bases on your EJU score. 220/400 or so in Japanese part of EJU and you are likely to pass N2. 280 points and more you prob will pass N1. Less than 200 points is around N3. This is most of the cases, idk if anyone choke on their JLPT test date or on EJU test and get higher or lower score.
I'm currently in Japan as an ALT, and I want to go back to school to become a regular teacher. I'll have graduated high school about 7 years ago, and I'm concerned on how rusty my general mathematics and science skills are (and my Japanese sits above N3, but below N2.. which means study time). Did you largely use the JASSO practice book to study? Or did you use other outside materials?
Drake D i mainly do practice tests with the jasso books. I went to japnese languge school and for japanese language part, for the last few months before EJU we only do EJU mock tests everyday and try to get used to the problems. So we did past problems A LOT. For Japanese other than JASSO books, i used normal n1-n2 level study books. I took social study and math 2(?, forgot which one for non science) and I mainly used my old high school notes to study and dictionary and google (imiwa is our saviour). My friends recommend japanese high school level science books, like summarized books for 3 years high school to get familiar with the vocab. I hope this helps :) Good luck with your study!

I've never heard about this test. It's very interesting to know about other japanese language exams because almost every one as me knows just about the JLPT. Thank you very much and Good Luck in your next EJU Lucas!!
i’m planning to take the EJU course during the april intake of next year. from what i’ve heard the course is approximately 2 years. i’m going to take the EJU in japanese but there is also an english version of the examination that you can take if you are planning to study in a university with english courses in japan, however it may only be limited to a few options. in the first year of the course i’ll be going to the language school and learn the basic japanese first. then in the second year, i’ll be preparing for the subjects i’m taking. from what i’ve researched you are only required to take 2 subjects, mathematics course 2 and physics, for science students. however, i’ve heard from my friends that calculation questions are difficult as you are not allowed to use a calculator during any of the exams. this exam is probably the same level of difficulty as A levels and is almost the same standard as taking a japanese high school examination
I'm still consider taking the eju but there's no classes outside japan that offer courses, I mean this exam is very underrated and I want to attend Waseda. Thank you for having this video. I always come back in watch it because no one else talks about it. It would be cool if you could do an updated video on this, I feel like no one outside japan (not in america at least) talks about this exam.
It seems as if the EJU is very intense. I have never heard of this exam. Now I know there is an alternative to the JLPT. Thanks so much for posting this video! Have a nice day.
Heyy as someone who took the june eju, it's so intense 😭 also taking the japan and the world subject :( everything in japan lol, でも これから後19日間が残ってるので頑張ってる😤✊ love from Malaysia!
this test is MUCH easier than JLPT as a whole because it is an actual straight forward test without the million of "gotcha" questions that jlpt is famous for. PLUS , EJU is does not have much grammar questions because it is not a section on the test unlike the freaking JLPT . I am a professional translator for a very big company so I know all about the tests out there, EJU, JLPT , JTest , Kanji kentei , and EJU in my professional opinion is the best one to take. know your kanji cause in real life there is no furigana other than manga.
