I just finished listening to a great audiobook about the history of the Byzantine Empire called Ghost Empire, one thing that it demonstrated was the amount of depravity that comes with power and how certain people ruthlessly seek power to engage in surreal fantasy only once they have it. On the path *to* power they pretend to be caring, heroic figures but once they are in that seat they exploit their unquestioned position to form harams of child slaves, torture those they don't like, rape their kin and fully explore the deepest depths of human depravity. Every major figure was like a cycle of the same heroism, depravity and finally, inevitably, equally depraved backlash. Andronikos I Komnenos was one of those figures who engaged in horrific depravity after being seen as a romantic and good figure, once the mob had finally had enough of his egotistical psychopathy they tortured, smothered with and force fed to him feces. They ripped his hair, beard and teeth out, they cut off his right hand and cauterized it. They then suspended him between two pillars to then be impaled and torn apart. This cycle continues to this day, but in a much more mild and "civilized" way. We hold up certain people who seek attention, and then when a special kind of egoist meets that seat, they are exposed and then deposed. I wondered if they shouldn't just have quickly and mercifully killed Andronikos I. so to not become the very thing they reviled. Will we ever learn the lesson of forgiveness and break this cycle? No, and that is why Jesus lived.

The episode with his wife was painful to watch. Yet all the comments were so glowing and positive. They even talk about that the biggest topic they talk about is his cheating. It's sad and painful.
The documentary was a great insight into the mind of an addict (egotistical narcissist) who thinks they’ll go to rehab one time and be cured. Yes that does happen, but only if you take it seriously and have great support around you. He didn’t seem to take it seriously and he’s back at it. His wife will leave him sooner than later this time around. I would have liked to seen more evidence supporting the girls claims. It’s easy for Chris to deny these allegations and we really can’t back either argument 100% just yet. I have been cleaned just over 4 years since I went to rehab for the 1st time in 2018. While things have become much more manageable it’s still a day to day l affair.

One thing that really annoys me is how Chris acts like his "addiction" and his slimy behavior are mutually exclusive. You suggest that all wealthy high status men are addicted to pulling girls on a regular basis, and all other guys want that too. There are too many examples of celebrity men who aren't that way, for that to be true. Countless celebrities, married and single and several more famous than Chris who aren't like that. And regarding the average Joe. The same applies. In my case for example, I ran through multiple girls per week on some weeks at a certain time in my life. But that was in high school through my early to mid 20s and not always multiple per week, obviously, but I definitely had a lot of hook-ups and short relationships when I was younger. But that's a normal phase. Now as a 36 year old man I'm not interested in that life anymore. It's out of my system and I appreciate substance and connection more than one nighters. The vast majority of my friends are that way too, and I'm a touring musician and so are many of my friends. Which could enable that behavior. But even many of my non musician friends are the same and got that out of their system by their 20s. Some for the long winded comment.

I find it hard to believe that Chris and his wife spend much time in the same room together.
My introduction to him was hearing he was Bieber's favorite comedian, which made sense after bailing 5 minutes into his Netflix special.
That footage of him with his wife on the podcast, absolutely terrified of what she might let slip on camera, was hard to watch. It was like hanging out with that one couple who openly despise each other and everyone knows their dirty laundry, but they are too codependent to break up.

The episode with his wife was painful to watch. Yet all the comments were so glowing and positive. They even talk about that the biggest topic they talk about is his cheating. It's sad and painful.
The documentary was a great insight into the mind of an addict (egotistical narcissist) who thinks they’ll go to rehab one time and be cured. Yes that does happen, but only if you take it seriously and have great support around you. He didn’t seem to take it seriously and he’s back at it. His wife will leave him sooner than later this time around.
I would have liked to seen more evidence supporting the girls claims. It’s easy for Chris to deny these allegations and we really can’t back either argument 100% just yet.

You suggest that all wealthy high status men are addicted to pulling girls on a regular basis, and all other guys want that too. There are too many examples of celebrity men who aren't that way, for that to be true. Countless celebrities, married and single and several more famous than Chris who aren't like that. And regarding the average Joe. The same applies. In my case for example, I ran through multiple girls per week on some weeks at a certain time in my life. But that was in high school through my early to mid 20s and not always multiple per week, obviously, but I definitely had a lot of hook-ups and short relationships when I was younger. But that's a normal phase. Now as a 36 year old man I'm not interested in that life anymore. It's out of my system and I appreciate substance and connection more than one nighters. The vast majority of my friends are that way too, and I'm a touring musician and so are many of my friends. Which could enable that behavior. But even many of my non musician friends are the same and got that out of their system by their 20s.
