So refreshing seeing women's rugby advancing and you guys promoting it . I must be honest , I was clueless on ladies rugby. I knew it existed but didn't pay attention to it , until now lol. I was so pleasantly surprised by the springbok ladies. Them girls got skill 🎉

    Great podcast/channel.
I've always wondered why Aus doesn't have any SA born players (or players with SA heritage) seeing as places like Perth have big Saffer populations. Maybe there's a bunch of them in Aussie Rules and League that I'm not aware of.

For me Gio, our "main guy" has not been picked yet. Hlekani from the Sharks is our next "main guy"

I can see where Aplon is coming from but playing up North brings the money and allows the Boks to keep more players in the pool.
There is too much rugby but that can be solved if World Rugby gets its house in order and restructures the global season.

I think evert retired player should give back to the sport by getting into coaching at grassroots levels, Australia and England problem is the lack of emphasis at grassroots level

Rugby has always been the 4th or so sport in Oz, but they were competitive because it was better run.
Its administration has been poor for about a decade and as Barnes explained, they gutted the academies which is where their strength lay.
Rugby in Oz is like England played at private schools. Ireland the same but it has laid a much better foundation and run their program like Oz used to. Ireland is the new Oz.

Definitely true. Rugby has never been number one. The lack of free-to-air coverage really hurts it. The academies and pathways are starting to be repaired. There's a lot of opportunities for young players to get representative game time now through the Super Rugby U16s and U19s. Really hope it starts to bear fruit and bring through more players from more diverse backgrounds.

also to be real....rugby fell to pieces in Oz when they went after Israel Folau........they turned his religious beliefs into a circus and punished him.
