Fly fishing the Trout Pond - West Central Alberta

This is a short video of a day of fly fishing on a trout pond near my home in Hinton Alberta. I'd never fished this lake before, so wasn't sure what I'd find. I was pleasantly surprised to catch some nice sized rainbows

I’ve done well this ice off with balanced leeches. When I camp may long in cadomin I usually hit it up.

What length and Wt rod are you using for those size of fish from a belly boat?

9’ rod. 6 weight.
