Instead of fences for the rock trick, you can use mannequins of custom design outfits, then once your rocks spawn, change the design. All the mannequins will break immediately so you dont have to go round picking them up
@ToasterOvenFilms I just booted up my game and if you make a pro design and display it, then change the design, it does make the display disappear. So it does work! No idea if they work the same as fences, however.

if you have switch online just get into turnips, you can make so much by joining a discord server or something and selling for a tonnnn of bells, even if you don;t I think you should be able to make a profit from your own town especially if you use that calculator thing Austin used.

Another change they introduced in 1.2.0 is that you can set your music players that are outside to different music. Previously, if you changed the music playing in one player, it also changes the music on all other music players outside. So now you can set different music to different areas in your island, which is pretty neat!

I have a suggestion: try laying down sand under the zen sand custom design to make it sound like sand, and it will look more like there's real sand there.

Glad your back, I love your vids and you’ve got me through a lot of tough times, and trust me we will help you through yours. We’re here for and don’t you forget it.
I legit have 7 extra profiles. I can buy all of Redd's art (I like having some of the fakes). I get eight Gulliver items each time he washes up. Each profile has a bottle wash up every day. I can get eight bug/fish sculptures when Flick/CJ show up. I get eight Celeste recipes per time she shows up (except for the first time always is the star wand and you always get whatever zodiac DIY for the time of year). One thing that I did notice, I had everyone of my extra profiles water my flowers, but I didn't see any difference in the sparkles, so I think it's only having friends from other islands come over to water your flowers that ups the hybrid rate.
Literally my first thought with Nature Day was "damn AJP is boutta be so hype about real hedges" 😭

So happy you're back and that you showed inside Drago's house! He was one of my first 5 villagers so his house on my island has a dirt floor and pear furniture. I think the dirt floor matches his personality (he constantly talks about the bugs in his house) but the furniture in his house on your island is so much better!

you're island is actually following the frank lloyd wright method. Mixing natural and man-made structures seamlessly, while creating claustrophobic entryways so you are blown away by the open spaces :D

Hey Austin! I didn't know if you knew this, but Bertha is itchy because she has fleas! If you look closely you'll see them jumping, and if you swing a net at her like you're going to hit her then you'll catch them, and she'll thank you for it! Plus, it's another bug off the list! I'm aware this is a couple weeks late, but as someone who just watched this, and also has experienced a loss during this time of social distancing (non-COVID reasons), I empathize with your situation, and I'm sorry you were/are going through this. I've been bingeing these episodes as I work on my own island, and they've been a wonderful guide for both my gameplay as well as therapy for my well-being. So, thank you, and I can't wait to get all caught up on this series!

I’ve just been Atlas Moth farming. I covered bambo island in holes and was getting 2-3 atlas moths spawning at the same time. Not as much money as the Tarantulas but much faster.

They stay tents. I have one on my brother's switch, but because of college and Corona in general, I haven't gotten to play it, but I've seen the tent whenever I see my brother playing it.
If you stand at the centre of the marble flooring in the Art section of the Museum, the camera pans over. It also happens when you stand on that "hatch" thing you pointed out, but for some reason, it doesn't happen on that specific one. It happens only on the "hatch" that's near the "green wall" section.
The camera also pans over if you stand on the painted "spots" on the floor in the Fossil section. In the Bug section, there are no specific "spots" for the camera to pan over, but you can find them if you just stop every now and then while exploring.
*E.g. If you stand in front of the big tree in the Bug section, the camera will pan over.*

I know how it feels to lose someone. My great grandmother passed away in January. It’s kind of a weird thing to say but I’m just glad she passed away before the virus is as big as it is now so me and my family didn’t have to worry about her catching it

I lost three family members to Corona the last weeks and I had a rough time still going to work (medical staff), doing stuff for university and having to deal with the sadness as soon as i come home and aren't distracted by my daily tasks. I always loved to watch your ACNH Gameplay and I'm really glad that you are back and i can have nice 30 minutes of just watching and enjoying your acnh island :)

Its more of way to expand the options available to you. Nooks cranny rarely sells furniture in colorways you dont already have. Its more common for redd to have a different color.

You take all the time you need for yourself. I lost my mom a few years back due to a company’s negligence with their truck drivers that fell asleep at the wheel and hit my mom’s vehicle. My families entire lives were flipped upside down in an instant. You never know when someone could be gone for good. It makes me extra sad when people never even got to experience what it’s like to have such an amazing mother like mine.

Why does it have to be like this
everyone goes at their own pace and has different design ideas! there’s no real expectation of what your island is “supposed” to look like :) take your time and make your island the best it can be
quick guide on the moving rock spawns. you CAN also use custom tiles.
in fact it can be wiser to do so. you can use them to also determain where fossils spawn.
i made a green and covered my entire island. then i changed it to transparent with a single pixel.
since standin in one spot and placing customs down can hit 9 tiles. you can force spawns wehre ever you want.
even if you dont want to go that far, it does take a while.
if you terraform areas into a single spot, ie, stepping stones over rivers, cliff spots.
PUT A TILE ON IT>
fossels can spawn on ANY open space. incluing those! meaning you have to open and TERRAFORM a tile just so you can stand next to it and dig!

Hey austin, since you said something about more expensive items, im sharing one of my island ideas with you. Basically, im making new residents on my island and using their houses and decorating them like shops! I have a whole bunch of ideas such as a bookstore, cafe, school and many more! Its a good way to add so much more depth to your island and have more buildings

You'll love having a second character! You will have a unique message in a bottle and you can collect a second copy of villager diys as well. I was able to give a buttload of them to my brother when he started playing and I collect them to give away as well. If you do dailies and shopping and stalk market and all that as well you'll get more nook miles which is always helpful :)

I was wondering about the bugs it felt like something was wrong when all that would spawn for my bugs were common butterflies. Used to be able to farm the peacock butterflies now not so much.
Fr though I made like 500k bells farming peacock butterflies and selling them to flick in one day. Now I barely see them😔

I was sad to hear about your mother passing, especially at this time. I lost my mother 37 years ago just before my 21st and I still miss her but I at least had my family around me. Having said that it is great to see you are back, I have missed your videos.
Maybe you or someone can help me though, in your video you added a second profile to play ACNH, I have been trying to do that for a couple of days and not been able to. I have created a new user tried to link the user with the same email as well as a second email, created a child account and linked one to the same family everyone of them say I need to purchase a new copy of ACNH before I canm open it to play. when I search online for help they all either look at setting up a second switch with the same account of how to create a new user on the switch but that is as far as they go and don't mention if you need to buy a second copy or not just that you can have up to 8 other users on the same island. I know I could get on DIscord to add friends, but because of my age I don't think it is appropriate for me to exchange friendcode with someone that could be very young.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you created another nintendo account, and I don't know if you need to buy the game again for that, but on the same switch you can definitely create profiles not linked to an account and they can play AC on the same island as the main account, without paying anything. just start the game as the second profile. This profile will not have an online subscription and won't be able to travel to other people's islands. I will mention that for watering flowers, the second player does not count towards the 5 people/day, only visitors help.

I was hoping that it would count for watering the flowers, but another reason was do I could have additioanl rooms to decorate eventually. But still not sure how to just create a profile as I did try setting up a new user on the switch and not link it via an email address etc and that also said I could not log into the game so I must be missing some step. Thanks for the reply I will keep trying. I do have a second switch that I use for swapping pokemon for Sun and moon but used the same account, and was going to buy a second copy of ACNH but a pysical copy once restriction here ease a bit and I can go out, Eb gane is open here in Australia but I look after my 97 yr old father and don;t want to risk going out unless I have too for now. I do want a second copy so I can set up a Northern hemisphere island to get the other insects ect and the other fruits that I am short of. But want to set up this one island completley first as it is taking me for ever landscaping I keep changing my mind.
David Waite To create a second user on your Switch:
1. Go to “Settings”.
2. Go down to “Users” and select “Add User”.
3. Choose an icon (Select “More Options” to choose from a bigger range of icons).
4. Confirm your customizations.
5. When it asks you if you want to link a Nintendo account, select “Later”.
@@KelpShake98 Thanks Homar I appreciate the list of steps, but unfortunately I have followed those steps several times and I still get asked to buy another copy before I can log into the game.
@@davidwaite9558 I believe I linked my accounts and pay for a family subscription even though it's just me. I did this specifically to play through Pokemon Shield in French on a second user. I set up the emails and accounts online, linked them to my main account, and then set them up on my Switch. (I only have a Switch Lite.) If you use the same profile on multiple switches, I believe I read somewhere online that one of those Switches is dubbed the "primary" Switch, and you must use it to play "together" as it were.

If you want to play on the same island the secondary account can only play on the primary Switch, but it seems your main account can play on any console. Hopefully that helps!

Also as a side note, I genuinely think there is nothing better than hearing him get mesmerized by small details in the game like the change in music. It just brings such a positive light and is such an enjoyment to watch by reminding me to enjoy the small wonders in the game....as well as being so gosh darn adorable.
