    Eugène Lacroix(1858-1950) - Thème paraphrasé

Nobody plays this ! The only existing recording on UA-cam !
This is the weirdest french organ piece I ever heard or played. It can be found in Anthology by Abbot Joubert(Maîtres contemporains de l'orgue)
The music begins from slow, melancholic, melody in single voice then , via intermedias with unsual harmonic retentions the melody transforms into the middle section with solemn reed solo in tenore( sounds like choral) .Then after es-major chord on fermata, the strange motif in unison octaves suddenly appears - it is the second intermedy before the last section which is a diametral contrary to gloomy beginning. It contains absolutely heavenly, unearthly ,cosmic harmonics with a short imitations of the last motif based on penthatonic in second pedal voice
