I fell in love with NAILS way back when because of the refreshing, fast, relentless hardcore / power-violence riffs that make up the meat-and-potatoes of the first 3 albums... Songs like Suffering Soul and Cry Wolf for example. However... The SUPER heavy grooves like the verse riff in Endless Resistance and Suum Cuiqui are (imo) some of the absolute best, heaviest riffs of all time!! Never thought I'd hear a heavier more badass riff than Suum Cuique's "chorus" part... But, now, Endless Resistance got me torn!!
SC And ER are very similar. 😉 SC is my fav n I often wondered if ER was written to play live instead of SC. SC was written by Sabo no longer with them. There’s been movement on Nails Instagram lol
@@allantimmy75 you bring up another point that NAILS does better than a HUGE majority of other artists... The coming and going of 2nd guitarists, have each resulted in an album that is still 100% true to NAILS core sound but each are uniquely individual and new and move the band forward instead of in the ground... Imo at least. Anecdote: I'm from Boston and 5yrs back a buddy and me jumped on a plane LAST minute, and flew out to L.A. for the weekend cuz NAILS, Pig Destroyer, DropDead, and Despise You were playing The Roxy together... From seeing NAILS a bunch before live and in videos, I always thought Sabo was like this giant-ass, scary-ass, Hell's Angels kinda dude (idk why exactly)! But chilling with him outside the venue, he sounded like a 17yr old kid! With his leather jacket and boots looking too big and hanging off him haha!! But awesome fucking guy! He chilled, shitting on my Boston accent (**Boston Metal and Haahdcore Fest**) and just bullshitting with us while DD/DY were total shit bags lol!! Sorry for the novel, nostalgia gut the best of me
Great show last night! Travelled 5 hours to see it!
