    Your are an incredibly talented teacher. You know how to simplify complicated grammar rules for students. Please , please publish more lessons. I have gone through each and every lesson of yours in this channel. My two hundred page note book is almost full with the notes that I've taken. Can't wait for more lessons . Thank you so much for all the hard work and time that you've put in .

    Great that you are back. According to me, you are by far the best Farsi content creator. You can clearly spot that you had/have pupils in real life and exactly know about the traps, flaws and difficulties. Highly appreciate your effort.

    Your lessons are the most profound ones that I have come across on the internet. The way you combined both formal and informal forms in your lessons is extremely helpful. Please give us more of your lessons and also adding some persian peoms will take this to a whole new level.

      Honestly I don’t have good recommendations to give. I’m not saying there are no good books, I’m sure there are, but I think most of them are not very structured and they jumps from one grammar topic to another one without giving enough explanation and background.

    • @persianHow
      @persianHow  Рік тому +1

      Bonjour! Thank you for your question. It’s actually a good question. The verb داشتن in imperative form becomes داشته باش.
      It is another irregular form, I did not cover that because it is not widely used in imperative form and it confuses the learners. But I will cover it in the lesson about subjunctive.

    My profound thanks for the enlightenment with regards to the subtlety of Farsi.
    My question is, in your last example when you translated this sentence; Teacher: remember the new words for the next class because they are very important.
    Why in this imperative sentence بودن not translated into باش but ھستند ?? Previously the same بودن translated in imperative form as..
    زود باش
    نگران باش
    مواظب باش
    🙏🙏🙏

    • @persianHow
      @persianHow  Рік тому

      You’re welcome. I’m glad the videos are helping you. Regarding your question, because بودن in the second clause is not imperative. It is indicative.
      The clause is saying “ …. they are very important”
      The verb “are” in this clause is not in imperative form that’s why it is هستند and we don’t use باش here. Remember imperative is only in second person singular or plural command form.
      Here the subject is “new words” so it cannot be in imperative form.

    • @rjshraman
      @rjshraman Рік тому

      @@persianHow Loads of thanks for clearing my doubt. Yes you're absolutely right. Imperative can only be second person singular or plural. I realised it after putting up my question before you. Normally بودن present stem is ھست but only in imperative command it turns into باش۔
      🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

      ماشينت رو روشن كن
      ماشينت is the direct object

    • @persianHow
      @persianHow  Рік тому +1

      That’s a good point.
      The sentence is is saying:
      حالشو ندارم - حالش را ندارم
      The verb is:
      حال چيزى را داشتن
      To be in the mood for something (literally: have the mood)
      حال+ش
      The ش here stands for ‘it’ in English
      More literally he is saying ‘ I don’t have the mood for it’ which idiomatically it means ‘I’m not in the mood for it’
      I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if you have any questions!
