Thanks so much after watching your video again yesterday I was able to use the key toolmax to get pin code for 2012 kia morning smartkey and programming was successful. I tried few weeks ago but wasn't able to do it. In my situation I had to remove the battery of the original smartkey by pressing pcb on push start button before I could get pin code and it was successful. I'm grateful sir😊

Maaan!! That was very clear and to the point. I just received mine along with my dolphin key cutting machine. I don’t know anything about cutting keys or even how to program them yet (except for a Honda) but with this channel at my fingertips I feel better about my purchase already! Thank you guys for this info! Can’t wait to sell some keys. Also I have some keys with my bundle but is there anywhere you’d get more keys at a decent price that resemble the keys similar to the oem style?

@@pouncerminned863 I could really do well with selling keys honestly. The only thing that hinders me is that my main focus is repairing vehicles since I’m primarily a mechanic first and locksmith (not really lol) secondly. It’s fun but can be tough sometimes bc I don’t have much experience other than Hondas when it comes to programming keys. Very much so worth the money I spent tho. I do like it a lot!

I've got a Key Tool Max Pro, i'm trying to read the PIN code from a Hyundai i40 2012, European market. But i can't seem to get to the screen, 3 options;
copy way page, 46Transponder clone, copy primary remote and kia/Hyundai password.

Thank you for making this video very clear. A few questions. Does each vehicle or key have their own unique pin code? After getting this pin code, you use a key programmer such as the Autek ikey820 to program it?
Yes, each vechile will have it's own pin code
Hello CJ. We are glad that our video was helpful to you. Each vehicle does require its own Pin Code. You are correct after you have used the Key Tool to get the Pin Code you would then use whatever OBD Key Programmer that you have which has the proper coverage for the vehicle. would this system work to clone a third key for a 2011 Kia Sportage? Dealer says only two keys are allowed in the computer at one time, I need a third key.
Thank you for your question. You cannot "clone" a Prox Key as such. The process shown in this video is for extracting the Pin Code, for Prox Key Programming, from a working Prox Key. I think the Dealer gave you incorrect information. I would double-check with another source because I believe the max number of Prox Keys on this vehicle is 4.
Is there a way to do it with the newer system? With the new keys it says they are unclonable and doesn’t let you move to the Hyundai pincode menu
Hello - Thank you for your question. This feature does not work on the newer Kia or Hyundai systems because the process for cloning the transponder is yet unknown.
Once this process is figured out I would guess that the Pin Code reading for this system would be known as well. Please stay tuned!

Thank you for your question. The process is the same for the vehicle in question except for this vehicle doesn't have a Programming Slot. On a vehicle with no Programming Slot you sniff the data from the Push To Start Button instead of the Programming Slot.

Thank you for your question. The process shown in this video is for extracting the Pin Code, for Prox Key programming, from a working Prox Key. In the US a Pin Code is not required for an ECU Swap, at least using the Factory Tool.

Hello -Thank you for your question. The Key Tool Max does not calculate other Manufacturer Pin Codes in this way, but if you pair the Key Tool Max with the Mini OBD Tool you are able to read Pin Codes for many vehicles in the US Market.

what do u have to do after u get the pin code/ pass. how do u program the new key fob? is it via obd?
It doesn’t sound like your a locksmith. You’ll need a car programmer that has the ability to program keys to your specific vehicle.

Hello George Patseris and 2815Juan. Thank you both for your comments here. 2815 Juan has answered correctly. You will need an OBD Key Programming Device to program the Prox Key to the vehicle after you have the Pin Code. The answer to the second question is, yes some OBD Key Programmers can pull the Pin Code on these vehicles, but some cannot. Again thank you both for taking a moment to comment on our video.

Hello - Here in the US, Pin Codes are not required for Ford Key Programming. I am not familiar with the Transponder Type on the UK Version of our vehicles. Send me an email at jb@iks,us and we can discuss this further and I will help you get to the bottom of this.

Thank you for your question. Most programmers will perform a VIN to Pin Code Conversion on these older Bladed Key Kia and Hyundai Vehicles. As far as 2017 and up Kia and Hyundai Vehicles most programmers can read these Pin Codes but the Ignition of the vehicle must be forced on for this to work. We have a Cable available that you can use to Force the Ignition on. The Part Number for this cable is KES-FORCE-IGN-HK

Hello - Thank you for your question. In order to get the Key Tool to calculate the Pin Code, you access the cloning functions of the tool. The Pin Code Calculation is a selection that is made under Transponder Clone.

Thank you for your question. There are certain processes, when using the Xhorse Server that you need to have "tokens" to use. These processes are ID48 96 Bit Cloning and Mercedes IR Key Password Calculation. The process that is demonstrated in this video does not require any Tokens.
Nothing we can do about a nonclonable key?
Hello - From your question I am guessing that you read a Transponder Key with your Xhorse Key Tool and the device told you that the key was not cloneable. If I have your situation correct, then there is nothing you can do to clone this transponder until Xhorse develops and releases the process for this type of cloning. If I have misunderstood your situation please comment here with some additional details. Thank you for your question.
