Ultramarine Tinting Analysis

This video demonstrates how I analyze the mixing process of ultramarine blue and white, which is called "Tinting". I have used "Color Analyzer" app, located on my website: qhart.com, to analyze the tinting process. The app is free for anyone to use. This mixing experiment has shown that ultramarine tinting does not follow our theoretical understanding, but it involves noticeable hue change during tinting. It is a quite interesting discovery.

first and second value are too dark and our eyes can't see the saturation... not enough blue light bounces back to the eye... very interesting
