This same general concept goes through my head every time I notice my left turn signal going in and out of sync with the signal of the car in front of me.
Or my 3’ stride goes in and out of sync with the 5’ joints in the sidewalk...
Or when it's slightly off beat with the song on the radio. Why can't it all sync damnit?
Lol
Or the windshield wipers on a bus that have independent speeds.
Holy shit I thought I was the only one
I loved it at 1:11 when the white balls and the colored balls appeared to form two separate "snakes" dancing with each other.
That's was a highlight for me as well. It makes think there must be mathematical equations that describe this sort of wave behaviour by the balls.
Such a masterpice made by math.....
@@alexfang6784 No way, you really think so?
So you advocate keeping whites and colors separate do you? For shame...
@@shanedbunting I guess you chose to ignore the "dancing with each other."
This would be really cool in the dark with glow-in-the-dark balls and black strings
And a shroom or two
That's what she said
Yeah, that would have been a hit back in the late 60's and early 70's. 🤪

This felt like the motion of the universe, both chaotic and symmetrical at the same time.
Looked like dna 🧬
That's what she said
Synchronized, not symmetrical
Try telling that to death the kid from soul eater
I literally could not stop watching them once they got going.
I just spent 2min watching balls swang

It was like the pendulum was showing me its repertoire of dance moves.
"Enjoy at least 60 seconds" yep, that's exactly what I say to my gf
Okay Mr Marathon
Stamina
Ouch man
Yes she says your performance could be a lot better
I don't get it
Absolutely fantastic. I love the effect when every other ball split up for a time. Great idea making them a separate color.
Thanks so much!
Ok now i understand how sin and cos waves generated
That needed a "wait for it...."
(like when all the white balls were on one side and colors on the other)
Interesting how it goes from coherent to incoherent patterns...
But you can still tell that there is some form of pattern and organization in the incoherent one.
And again from incoherent to coherent just loop going on continuously
The pattern is so complex it almost looks random at that one part
What you are looking at are harmonics of each individuals wavelength.
It looks incoherent but it was not
Science is so great and interesting and pleasing to the mind, especially when everything is in perfect alignment! My science teacher once said in 1967! So true and thank you for the display!
That Sir is an Elegant and exceptionally beautiful demonstration . thank you !
Watching this at differing video speeds is really a trip lol
Is light a wave or particles? Now we know the answer. YES.
Both. Photons + elektromagnetic waves.
Neither of you two bot accounts know whats going on mane
Ken Wheeler can explain that question in detail

Whoosh
You had me at "lined up ready to swing".. My expectations were not only met, but were super exceeded..
What’s most extraordinary about this is that, minus air currents that may affect it, none of it is random; every second of it is calculable and predictable.
For basic materials and setup, this was excellent!
Equation for time period of a pendulum :-
T = 2*pi*√(length/g)
Or T is directly proportional to length of string
Which means longer the string higher the time period and lower the velocity.
I hope this explains something....❤️
Directly proportional to the square root of the length.
Physics can be so cruel and unfair, but equally rewarding if and when you learn how to take full advantage of it!
AGREED!!!
Progression ... Bryson would enjoy this I bet. Brooks would appreciate it, and Tiger would be stoked the red ball is still slightly ahead of the pack
“Clamps are used to fine tune the lines”
Shows binder clips 😂
I love it!
That was far better than I anticipated!
1:10 it uncovered the mysteries of life and made its own DNA.
🔴 What Is Islam? ⚠️
🔴 Islam is not just another religion.
🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham.
🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God.
🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone.
🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine.
🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as:
📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4)[4] 📚
🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus.
🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him.

Amazing the interactions from a single chain to dual and when pairs swung together. Well done.
It's amazing to me how it seemed to move from organized to chaotic and back; and yet, in order for it to work it had to be perfectly designed.
It is not chaotic, it is more like the Fermi Pasta Ulam numerical experiment.
That pretty much visually describes in a nutshell my Saturday nights for several hours at the bar.
Thank you. That was a wonderful gift for me. I enjoyed it immensely.
When the balls were swinging in spirals...
Fantastic! 👍 I want to watch it over and over
i know right? if only there was a replay button...

Fantastic : ) Why do people bother to dislike these great bits of work. Why don't they go just watch something else.
They are expressing their opinions in this open public forum, exactly as you are. But you object to them expressing their opinions, exactly as you are, solely because they don't agree with you. That is sad.
Save this videos guys, soon tiktok dummies will overtake youtube community also
1st phase: snake
2nd phase: DNA
VERY COOL
What a fantastic video! I particularly like the moment when the seemingly chaotic action comes back almost to the exact starting point and it all starts off again. This is surely the ‘strange attractor’ of chaos theory shown so clearly in action?
It’s very interesting that out of chaos comes order just as much as the more familiar human experience that out of order comes chaos
This isn't chaos theory at all, nor is the motion actually chaotic in the mathematical sense.
And you guessed it, this has almost nothing to do with strange attractors.
I always love this . No sequence . Great patterns .
Thank you! Wasn’t sure what to expect 🎉🎉
Amazing!
I was totally surprised on how interesting and various the effect is.
Well worth building one
Totally hypnotic. Somehow I see something new every time I watch it.
Not what I thought it was going to be… really cool!
I like it when a demo actually works! :)
Strangely hypnotic!

Where was this during my HE science project? Absolute genius.
Psalm HE 85
1:44 when they all came into phase again and swung in time with the music I felt something
This is a perfect model for life itself.
That’s amazing. My eyes started playing tricks on me at one point as if high-speed photography was used. But I’d imagine this system would oscillate for quite awhile snd then end up finally where it began.
This is a pretty good visual example of sound waves interacting with each other - we can see 'chords/scales' forming as the frequencies align. After all , it's just math.
Fun fact: right at the end, there, where they almost line back up. Measuring the offset between them at the moment they're most aligned will give you a precise cumulative measurement of the energy losses in the system due to things like gravity, friction, and drag.
I found this a surprisingly pleasant and relaxing thing to watch.
Mesmerizing. Great job.
Watching this while walking makes me move my left foot & left hand together.
The color sequence really made this enjoyable to watch. Nice video
i have an amputee buddy, which means we have 3 THUMBS UP between us to give this video.
This so wonderful
I think you just discovered the Unified Theory of Everything!!! wow. Spelled W.O.W.
Está genial, me encantó 😍
This is the 'universe' in section. Beautiful.
Thats some of the coolest stuff ive seen in a while
This was beautiful.
That was awesome! Thanks!
白色と有色が綺麗な二重螺旋構造になる瞬間気持ちよすぎだろ!
Running this exact same thing in a vacuum, using super-thin (barely visible) fishing line instead of the distracting string, would do it some good. Real good.
Quite the hypnotic effect.
I must confess this is amazing
Very cool! Thanks!
Made me think about the nature of order and chaos, and the function of the universe.
Cool project!
Looked like most of the time it was going away but then came this way briefly. Having the white balls evenly spaced added another level of cool.
I like the beat of the song you've chosen.
It falls somewhere between the first and second ball
Whoever built that has some real balls.
For some reason, I started to see musical theory in this.
I5s amazing how the pattern changes as it slows down
Love watching the harmonics of this!
Beautiful! I have looked at this for 5 hours now.
Glad you like it!
So simple, but so many (aesthetical) applications!
Every once in a while we see or hear something that is unique to our experience. This is really fascinating.
Neat how the white and colored ones have their own repeat pattern, and I was wondering if the cycle would bring them all back in line again.
This reminds me of planets orbiting the sun.
The ones with less distance from the sun revolve more quickly, and those furthest away orbit very slowly.
But periodically there are 'resonances' where they line up. Quite often between the inner planets, but now and again they all fall in line. It's contributes to the stability of the system, and is also hypothesised to be the reason that the Asteroid belt is unable to coalesce into a planet, because of the gravitational resonance between Mars and Jupiter.
The models you make are always entertaining ! 👍🏼
The last 30 seconds felt like it was taunting me
Very pretty and engaging demonstration.
Thank you for this, very enjoyable.
Bravo. Physics is magnificent.
It is very fascinating how the same colored bills synch up periodically and form a double helix. Mesmerizing to watch.
This is my favorite demo of this due to the color selection of the balls creating the alternate white balls as well as the synchronized of different same colored balls. Thank you for posting the other videos. There is one that address the “chaos” sections perfectly by simply showing an overhead view as well. It shows the wave form in its greatest potential and at the end it shows it appearing to travel in reverse ( ua-cam.com/video/cjTczXq7hyc/v-deo.html ). Either way, a very cool experiment and I’m glad yours came across my feed. I watched it several times just for the zen of it. 😊🤌
I can't believe how the pendulum went perfectly with the music!
Do you sell these?
If so... please let me know.
Thank you for sharing this video... Excellent.
Did not expect the way that they were activated - Usually one end ball is swung into the others.
I'll assume that with differing lengths, chaos ensues, lol. NICE display. 😏🤗🤓
Amazing what I don't know I really need to watch!
Thank you very much for uploading such an amazing project.
That's really cool.
This is just wonderful!
This really made me giggle...thx👍

Awesome, that was eye candy.
Why amI watching this? It was fun to watch for whatever reason.
I like how at the end they've all made friends.
Would have been a blast 40 years ago during my hallucinogenic phase.
Wow, it's looks so beautiful !
Octavarium 2 looks awesome
Nifty. Much depends on the view's perspective as the system goes into and out of synchronicity. Thanks.
Very interesting didn't know it was going to be like that but I enjoyed it
Unexpectedly cool!
It puts me in mind of fractal geometry in the way the same pattern repeats on a smaller scale.
