Put your spraypaint can in a bucket of hot water until you do the spraying. The issue is condensation of humidity in the air, so heating the mixture creates less condensation.
Have used the Xpress range for almost 9 months now and can with authority say not all of their colours are good coverage. You have some absolutely 10/10 colours like Copper Brown, Velvet Red, and all of their skin colours are top notch, but others like Twilght Rose and Iceberg grey are more like tints vs a proper one coat contrasts. Intense range are all great, especially the blue and black. Super secret tech I have been doing is zenethil and then using Hospitiliar Intense Black over the metallic parts which gives me back that heavy black base for the silvers/golds. Very quick to apply as a wash consistency. Black Lotus (their black contrast - non intense) has a slight blue hue to it and I now use it almost exclusively as my black wash/liner. In summary: gw paints are straight out of the box apply in most cases. Vallejo you will need a few runs on the board to learn which ones to use and how but am a total convert! Thanks for putting this up mate.
>Hospitiliar Intense Black over the metallic parts which gives me back that heavy black base for the silvers/golds Yesss. I'm in love with intense black. I've gone through nearly half a bottle of the stuff, it's so smooth and covers great without filling any details.
Velvet red is my new favorite color. The browns are the gem of the range, they are more versatile than the GWs and have some nice neutral colors. Orc Skin is scorpy green as a Xpress. I dig them.
Ill give that green a go. I got quite a few the other day, alot of browns. And in Australia I cant argue with the vallejo price. They make some great stuff.
Just wondering, is everything much more expensive in Oz or are GW products just a stand out example? Here in the States we pay above exchange rate for GW products too, but not as bad as you folks.
Yeah GW have a big extra markup in Australia . We don't get hosed too badly on hobby stuff compared to other imports, and you can finally get stuff like Pro Acryl and AK easily here now. I can get Xpress paints for $3.60 US inc tax .. Contrasts are more like $6 US. Big difference.

Great little hack.

What's your favorite skin tone recipe? For caucasian skin ( Cadians etc)

🎉 nice honest review mate. Seems citadel are still up there 👆 everyone I thought of something, you covered it 😂
I use a ton of xpress color it takes more coats but comes out nicer.

Yeah its mostly GW that charge a significant increase above the exchange rate. In saying that the Aus dollar does fluctuate quite a bit so who knows.

is there a color comparason chart from citadel to vallejo?
I have so much paint already, I have a hard time justifying new purchases.
Yeah your paint collections just get huge after awhile dont they.
