I'm actually allergic to aspartame. I was born in 2001, where the research on this stuff wasn't as developed as it is today, but still, my parents never allowed me to consume this stuff, ,I developed an intolerance to artificial sweeteners and an allergy to aspartame. My mom said and I remember when I was real little- you couldn’t buy soda, pop, at the grocery stores. Only place you could buy it was at a restaurant or from a “soda jerk.” So it was meant as a treat like ice cream. They didn’t sell ice cream either in the grocery stores you had to go to an ice cream shop. People over consume now a days so having a lot of sugar is not the issue. It’s people over consuming the product.

According to AI those claims about aspartame and sucralose were mostly anecdotal. Official studies on anecdotal findings always show that people don’t study things correctly on their own. So take that for what it’s worth. I’ve never had any ill effects from those sweeteners.
Aspartame does not make you crave more sweets. That's BS. It may be toxic in other ways, but if you need to lose a lot of weight, you have to balance your options and sometimes it's the better option.
I've been drinking Sparkling Water or plain iced water mixed with Stur liquid enhancer (which is more natural vs Mio and their propylene glycol + sucralose, or drink Mio anyway) and I don't miss soda much, besides the occasional diet Dr Pepper. If you're wondering about Stur's cost, getting a pack of 5 from Amazon is about $21, or $4 per bottle, a bit pricey but comparable to Mio's normal price per single bottle. It'll last you prob 2 weeks to a month imo, depends how often you use them. But either way, hope these help too

It’s still much more cost effective than drive through coffee or soda. Maybe $.60 per can.
@@ameliaguidry I don't do neither of those things and actually McDonald's charges a $1 for any size drink, including large which is tough to beat. I just purchase a 6 pack of electrolyte drinks and drink water and unsweetened tea.. I’ll remember this when I’m mixing it with whiskey
I mixed it with wine 🍷 , but that was long time ago , just drink water bro
Mixed with alcohol is the only time I find diet versions oddly disgusting

@@Cailan.Fishingwhat kinda psycho mixes soda with wine? You water weirdos have some serious issues.

People say these sodas don’t taste good. The problem with food that “tastes good” has heavy use of salt, sugar, flavor enhancers, etc. The brain and digestive system has to retrain to handle the healthier foods.
Lmao this guy just spreads half-truthful information and pawns it off like it’s universally agreed upon
Thanks Bobby!
All this has been debunked many times already. If you want some diet soda, don’t feel bad, it’s just fine.
regular is healthier than diet my guy
@@Zeroneii3 I respectfully disagree.
Correct. If you read the studies they always have that "may" in front because they can't link it to any adverse side affects in humans. Except if you ingest a kilo of aspartame at a time it may give you the runs. No more dangerous than Aloe Vera.
Aspartame was just classified as a possible carcinogen in July of this year 🤣💀
@@Fooo118 Case and point. "possibly".
I think it all depends on how we are ourselves, basically all food if consumed in excess is not good for the body.
I had a diet Dr Pepper addiction long time ago-probably at least 2-20oz bottles a day. I started having painful lightning bolt type feelings shoot up my legs. My bf sent me an article on aspartame and I had so many negative effects listed. I quit drinking it and just subbed unsweetened iced tea, lost 15 pounds in a month without trying to change anything else! And no more headaches or nerve pain.
Love Zevia, but it gets expensive.
I can find it cheaper ever since Cosco and Sam’s club carry it now.
30 variety pack at my local Sams club for $17!

I used to drink unsweetened black tea until I found out tea is full of heavy metals, mold and pesticides. I drink tea from Pique now.
@@ClassicEdge uh oh I thought tea was healthy🫤
Tea has been drunk for 1,000 years I wouldn’t worry too much about it. If you want to guarantee quality just buy a quality brass and you should be okay. There’s no need to fret every toxin when our bodies are full of micro plastics, glyphosate and we’ll end up dead in the end from completely different reasons 😄

I’ve never tried Poppi, but I LOOOOOOVE Olipop, specifically the grape soda one. So good.

Not convincing enough for me, buddy. I’ll keep drinking my Diet Coke 😋
True but in my case it's the lesser of two evils when I have a craving or just in the mood for a soda. I'll buy Zevia when it's on sale but I have some Diet Dr Pepper handy when I need it.
Honestly it’s not true though, the study conducted was giving mice a massive amount. More than any human is likely to consume in a short period of time. Diet Dr. Pepper is fantastic.

Leave the losing weight advice to Greg doucette.

I'm actually allergic to aspartame. I was born in 2001, where the research on this stuff wasn't as developed as it is today, but still, my parents never allowed me to consume this stuff, ,I developed an intolerance to artificial sweeteners and an allergy to aspartame. I was hospitalised at the age of 10, after consuming it accidentally. It's nasty stuff, and my body's rejection of it tells me all I need to know. So glad to see someone sharing the truth ❤️👏👍

What is your review of Diet Rite?
My mom said and I remember when I was real little- you couldn’t buy soda, pop, at the grocery stores. Only place you could buy it was at a restaurant or from a “soda jerk.” So it was meant as a treat like ice cream. They didn’t sell ice cream either in the grocery stores you had to go to an ice cream shop. People over consume now a days so having a lot of sugar is not the issue. It’s people over consuming the product.

Dude, your videos are the equivalent of getting kicked in the junk at a mandatory diversity training meeting. All I want to do is mainline diet soda out of a Teflon air fryer that I’ve spent the last twenty minutes scraping with a rusty screwdriver.
Do any of those alternatives have caffeine? I need my fix lol.😆
Agreed. Keto people come here, they need to seek out Dr. Westman, who has no problem with diet soda as a transition product...

Have you done one of these on sparkling waters like la croix?
I've been drinking Sparkling Water or plain iced water mixed with Stur liquid enhancer (which is more natural vs Mio and their propylene glycol + sucralose, or drink Mio anyway) and I don't miss soda much, besides the occasional diet Dr Pepper.
If you're wondering about Stur's cost, getting a pack of 5 from Amazon is about $21, or $4 per bottle, a bit pricey but comparable to Mio's normal price per single bottle. It'll last you prob 2 weeks to a month imo, depends how often you use them.
But either way, hope these help too

Diet soda is also harsher on your teeth.
I was drinking diet soda almost exclusively. As an experiment, I tried one whole month of drinking absolutely nothing except water. I noticed NO CHANGES AT ALL, except that I was always dehydrated because I only drank when really thirsty instead of all the time. Absolutely no change in hunger or cravings for sweets. At the end of the experiment, I went back to diet soda.
The reason artificial sweeteners aren't good is because it still gives an insulin spike, despite them having no sugar. Hyperinsulinism => insulin resistance => hyperinsulinism => weight growth.
