For years I've thought Pete would be perfect at this game but never thought he'd ever find out about it since it's just so niche this is so cool
He knows cgplays who is, or at least was, THE territorial io player to watch.
He's known about it for awhile he just said he never understood the game quite like he thought he needed to make it a large part of his channel.
Pete I would recommend being more conservative with your opening because you're missing out on the high interest rate applied to your troop balance at the very start of the game

Quick tip. During the first few expansions, doing smaller percentage expansions and then ramping up is generally safer, but depends on situation

I was just binging this game for hours earlier today, very excited to see this uploaded.
I highly recommend trying a 20/20/30/30/40/40 -> drop down to 20 and keep hitting the plus when your attack nears completion until you finish your expansion on neutral terrain. Can mess around with when you do the indefinite expansion, but this works very well especially in 1vs1. A bit more micro-manage than the 65% static expansion but it lets you benefit more from the early income %

The best opening I know is by corgi circus, I believe it's 20% 20% 40% 40% and then you can expand indefinitely at 50% rate.
When you expand, there is extra bar shown at the top and it has a plus sign. You can click it to send again the same amount of troops. So for this opening at 50% you jist click plus until no free space left

I will admit after watching cg plays videos about this from a couple years ago and watching now, there's definately a much better good neighbor in this video than I'm used to seeing in this game.

I've played this game a lot, you've mentioned CG before so I knew you knew bout this but it almost feels odd seeing you play this toy-like game, though arguably RISK, especially as it is managed right now is not much better than this browser game.

You sound like you've played this enough to know what to do... do we have access to videos of you learning this game?
What are the rules of the game, how do you generate troops is it based on your amount of territory?
I've played a little bit but I don't know basic things. I also find it's hard to narrate these games live because there is a lot more going on in real time than in risk. At least with risk only one person is playing at a time
@@FreePete I get that, as some one who has played a lot of board games, and DND and magic, a lot of it is turn based. The board doesn't change until you unpause.
I love this game, not good at it, would watch you play one every so often. Maybe once a week?

@@AI-cp1jg I recall there used to be an option to protect ourselves from this in-game. Is that no longer so? I don't have the ability to do a ton of post production and I'd hate for a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch
