What an honor it was to be in the presence of such wonderful women of God, my BWIM Mentee Sisters, our Mentors, our “paraclete,” Rev. Jeri Wright, and our leaders, Rev. Brian Scott, and Ambassador Suzan Johnson Cook. I knew it would be a great evening, however, the impact on my heart and perspective about being a Black Woman In Ministry far exceeded my expectations! What a beautiful moment in HERstory!
What a privilege and honor to be in the number of Black Women celebrated at this inaugural event. Ambassador Cook, your inspired leadership propels us all forward. We give thanks for you and celebrate all the women, globally, who have said 'yes' to their Call. I celebrate the women whose name we have yet to call or even know, as well all all the honorees, mentors and mentees of the BWIM. To God be the glory.
